📚 We teach kids math.
💻 We teach them coding.
📝 We teach them how to crack exams.
But we rarely teach them how to use a road. 🚦
And then at 18, we expect “road sense” to magically appear during a driving test. 🚘
That’s not how human behaviour works.
Road sense is built over years —
👨👩👧 by watching parents drive responsibly,
🏫 by schools teaching traffic behaviour early,
📢 and by governments running continuous awareness programs.
Because good habits take time. ⏳
India’s road accident deaths are rising. 📈
And the problem is no longer just bad roads.
🛣️ Our highways are improving.
🚗 Cars are becoming faster.
💹 The economy is growing.
But are the people using these roads evolving at the same pace?
Most accidents are deeply behavioural:
📱 Distraction
⚡ Impatience
🚫 Poor risk perception
😴 Fatigue
👥 Copying unsafe behaviour from adults
A structured licensing system alone is not enough at 18.
Road discipline must start in childhood. 👶➡️🚘
Because safer roads are not built only with concrete. 🏗️
They are built with culture. 🤝
