📚 We teach kids math.
💻 We teach them coding.
📝 We teach them how to crack exams.

But we rarely teach them how to use a road. 🚦

And then at 18, we expect “road sense” to magically appear during a driving test. 🚘

That’s not how human behaviour works.

Road sense is built over years —
👨‍👩‍👧 by watching parents drive responsibly,
🏫 by schools teaching traffic behaviour early,
📢 and by governments running continuous awareness programs.

Because good habits take time. ⏳

India’s road accident deaths are rising. 📈
And the problem is no longer just bad roads.

🛣️ Our highways are improving.
🚗 Cars are becoming faster.
💹 The economy is growing.

But are the people using these roads evolving at the same pace?

Most accidents are deeply behavioural:
📱 Distraction
⚡ Impatience
🚫 Poor risk perception
😴 Fatigue
👥 Copying unsafe behaviour from adults

A structured licensing system alone is not enough at 18.
Road discipline must start in childhood. 👶➡️🚘

Because safer roads are not built only with concrete. 🏗️

They are built with culture. 🤝

🩺 We’ve become very good at extending life.
But are we preserving living?

An 82-year-old.
🛏️ Bed-bound.
💪 Severe sarcopenia.
💊 12 tablets a day.

Is that longevity?
Or just prolonged survival?

At some point, medicine must shift focus:

📉 From chasing numbers → to preserving function.
🦵 From adding years → to protecting independence.
❤️ From lifespan → to health span.
Because strength matters.
Mobility matters.
🧠 Cognition matters.
✨ Dignity matters.

Sometimes the most powerful prescription is not another pill —
but better nutrition, movement, sleep, and reduced treatment burden.

The real goal of medicine should be simple:

⏳ Not just living longer.
🌿 Living better.

Health span > lifespan.

💪 Sarcopenia = loss of muscle & strength with age (starts as early as your 30s).

✅ The good news — it’s preventable:
🏋️ Strength training regularly
🥚 Adequate protein intake
🚶 Stay active daily
⏳ Don’t wait. Build muscle today to stay strong and independent tomorrow!

Speaking on working women’s health at the LIC office, Tanuku was truly special for me—an institution that feels like home, as both my parents served here.

We discussed simple but powerful preventive health measures:
🥦🥩 • Shifting from high-carbohydrate diets to balanced protein- and healthy fat-rich nutrition
🚸• The growing concern of childhood obesity and the vital role parents play
♀️🏃‍♀️• Importance of physical activity and early strength training for women to prevent sarcopenia

A 🏋️‍♀️strong woman shapes a healthier future generation. Health is not just about tests or medicines, but about everyday choices.

Grateful to Mr. Laxman Garu, Mr. Rajshekar Rao Garu, and the entire LIC Tanuku team for their support—and for standing by my mother throughout her journey.

Jaundice occurs when there is an accumulation of bilirubin, a yellow pigment, in the blood and tissues of the body. This condition can be caused by several factors, including liver diseases like hepatitis and cirrhosis, blockages in the bile ducts from gallstones or tumors, and hemolytic anemia, where red blood cells are broken down at an increased rate. Less commonly, genetic disorders, certain medications, and infections can also lead to jaundice by impairing the liver's ability to process and eliminate bilirubin effectively.

23/09/2024

Jaundice is characterized by yellowing of the skin and eyes, resulting from an excess of bilirubin in the bloodstream. It often signals underlying health issues such as liver disorders, blood diseases, or bile duct blockages. Common symptoms include yellow skin, fatigue, and dark urine. Early detection and medical evaluation are crucial to diagnose and treat the root cause effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate care.

Overuse/ misuse of antibiotics can cause antibiotic resistance, making infections more difficult to combat and increasing the severity of diseases. Misuse can also lead to disruptive gut issues like yeast infections, diarrhea, and potentially fatal conditions like C. difficile. Side effects from antibiotic misuse can range from mild reactions like nausea and rashes to severe allergic responses, underscoring the need for responsible use.
