DOCTORS, PGS , JDA, Interns and Students of Tezpur Medical College and Hospital gathered today in front of the Hospital building,and protest against the brutal and barbaric attack on Dr. Seuj Kumar Senapti and other medical staff.
DC Sonitpur, Bhupesh Ch Das today met with the protesting Medical Students at The college and ensured that the guilty will be brought to justice soon.

P.S: Till now 24 culprits have been arrested involved in the incident that took place yesterday.

We want capital punishment to all of the culprits. We need law and enforcement for the protection of the working medical staff.
Hope this time a change will come into effect. Hope we See a better tomorrow 🤞

Dr. Seuj Kumar Senapati
Joined as a Undergraduate MBBS student in the year 2015 , Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. Passed his MBBS in 2020 March. After one year of Internship in TMCH he joined as A MO and was in charge of Covid19 duty in UDALI MODEL HOSPITAL, Hojai in May 2021.
And today is June 1st 2021. Hardly after a week after joining as A MO under NRHM to give service to the people of there that's what he gets in return.
I won't write much you see by your own eyes.

I being a MBBS student seeing my fellow senior of the Same hostel whom we used to call dada getting beaten like this making me nervous. I am sitting in my room posting this but the fear of being beaten in future has already subdued me. Today he is assaulted got brutally beaten up tomorrow might be another one and this shall continue.
Will anyone of us ever feel safe to do our service to use our knowledge of medicine to save someone.
Doctors aren't god. They are humans. If a doctor saves a patient then it is the God who did it but if a doctor is unable to save his patients despite of all the efforts then it is the fault of the doctor ( that's what society believes in) Sarcasm 🙂

The mere illiterate existing in the country is what we should fear off.

Dr. Seuj kumar Senapati , Medical officer, Posted in Udali Model Hospital, Hojai ( Pass- out Student from Tezpur Medical college and hospital) he joined the duty as a MO under NRHM just few days ago. He is brutally beaten up by the attendants of patient today. A time when Doctors are giving 24 hours to save a patient life during the covid crisis period this is what people are giving them in return. Will the Govt of Assam will act now? Will he get Justice ? The assaulters should be arrested as soon as possible. We demand strict punishment to them. This is inhuman and barbaric.
