Dr. Kabita Baruah, State Programme Officer (SPO), National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme (NVBDCP)-cum-Joint Director of Health Services (M), visited various health institutions across Sonitpur district today as part of supportive supervision of NVBDCP activities. During the visit, she reviewed the implementation status of vector borne disease control measures, interacted with health officials and field staff, and provided necessary guidance to strengthen surveillance, prevention, and control activities in the district.

The Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) House-to-House Search Team in Sonitpur District conducted systematic door-to-door visits to identify suspected cases, raise awareness, and ensure early detection and timely referral for appropriate care. The team also sensitized community members about preventive measures, symptoms, and the importance of seeking prompt medical attention, thereby strengthening disease surveillance and public health response at the community level.
