Today, I want to share something close to
my heart about life-long learning.
As a Tech Scale-up Coach and Zoho Consultant,
I see this pattern often:
business owners recognize the importance of
learning new skills but hesitate to admit
they don’t know something.
Why?
Ego.
A few months ago,
I worked with a fantastic entrepreneur, Kamal.
Kamal built his business from the ground up,
and it flourished.
But then, things started to stagnate.
He couldn’t figure out why.
When we met, I noticed Kamal’s hesitation
to dive into new tech.
He had always relied on his old methods,
which worked well in the past.
But times were changing,
and so were the tools and techniques
needed to stay ahead.
One day, during our session,
I gently suggested him exploring Zoho that
could streamline his operations.
Kamal was reluctant.
He said, “I’ve been doing this for years.
Why change now?”
I shared a simple thought:
“Even the best athletes have coaches,
and they are always learning new techniques
to stay on top.
It doesn’t mean they’re not good enough;
it means they want to be even better.”
That clicked for Kamal.
He decided to give it a shot.
Fast forward Kamal’s business
is started thriving again.
He embraced new learning with
an open heart and mind,
and it paid off beautifully. 🌟
The moral?
Our ego can be our biggest obstacle.
Accepting that we don’t know everything
isn’t a weakness; it’s a strength.
It’s the first step to growth and innovation.
So, here’s my cheer for
all the amazing friends out there:
Whether you are in business or in service,
keep learning, stay curious,
and never let your ego stop you from growing.
The world is changing fast,
and there’s always something new to learn.
Let's embrace it together!
Cheers to continuous growth and success! 🚀✨
