A case of irregular intermenstrual bleeding.
This is a case of a 37-year-old female who had complaints of heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) and which was irregular in between periods as well (menometrorrhagia) since last more than 6-7 years. She was advised Mirena IUD by her Ob/Gyn, which is a device placed inside the uterus to regulate the menstrual flow, which she got placed around 3 years ago.
The patient continued to have intermenstrual bleeding despite the Mirena IUD placement and she now returned to me for further treatment having tried the recommended conventional treatment by her Ob/Gyn.
After a thorough evaluation of her complaints, with detailed history taking, review of her radiologic studies, and with homeopathic individualization of the case, she was prescribed Homeopathic treatment.
Patient review: The irregular bleeding stopped on the second day of initiating Homeopathic treatment and there has been no recurrence of bleeding other than her normal menstruation.
