Dhanteras is a time for gratitude, reflection, and prayer. Let us take a moment to thank Goddess Lakshmi for all that we have and pray for her continued blessings. Let us also remember those who are less fortunate than us and do our bit to help them. After all, true prosperity lies in sharing what we have with others.

The significance of Dhanteras can be traced back to ancient times when it was considered a symbol of good fortune and prosperity. According to legend, King Hima, who ruled over a small kingdom, was blessed by Goddess Lakshmi on this day. She appeared in his dream and asked him to collect all the gold and silver he could find and keep it in his treasury. The king followed her instructions, and soon his kingdom became one of the wealthiest in the region. Since then, people have been celebrating Dhanteras to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.

However, amidst all the celebrations, let us not forget the true essence of Dhanteras. So, as we celebrate Dhanteras, let us embrace the spirit of generosity, compassion, and kindness. May this festival bring joy, happiness, and prosperity to everyone, and may we always remember the true meaning behind its celebration.

Hi,
I am looking for Talented women entrepreneurs/educators/social workers/ medical staff/ Journalists etc. from West Bengal, who are interested in working on spreading Mental and Physical Health Awareness and networking with career women from different backgrounds. This is an initiative by the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI) under the “Empathy and wellbeing council” – West Bengal chapter.
Through this initiative, we wish to cater to people’s physical and mental well-being. The aim of the chapter is to empower women in their area of interest and help them get exposure to a wider audience/ client/ customer.

An Ideal Candidate will be:
• Someone, who is currently associated with an institution or heading one herself.
• Someone, who is passionate and understands the importance of Mental/ Physical Health advocacy and well-being amongst students and corporate employees.
• Someone, who likes networking and wants a platform to do the same.
• Someone, who is an expert in her field of work and wishes to expand the business/ exposure to people from different backgrounds.
• The candidate should have at least one year of work experience and is currently employed. (Freshers may be considered based on their academic qualifications and their current employment and for an intern position. Women willing to restart their careers may also apply).
• Someone, who is willing to assist a team and has empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward her team members and their client.
• Someone, who is comfortable speaking in Hindi, English, and Bangla
• Someone, who has a good command of spoken English.

Responsibility within the Role
• Attend Scheduled Weekly/Monthly Council Meetings.
• Assist the Chapter President in the endeavour to spread well-being amongst school/college students and corporate employees.
• Suggest innovative ideas to reach out and spread the idea of mental health and physical well-being amongst people from different backgrounds.
• Raise funds for the long run success of the initiative through networking.
• Give 8-10 hours of dedicated work per week.
Some recommended practices that are desirable.
• Collaborate with government bodies, ministries, chambers, universities, and non-profits and media houses.
• Someone, who wishes to work at a school / College level and believes that Mental & Physical well-being should be promoted among students as well as reach to corporate employees, with the same agenda.

Please Note: The opportunity includes payment of a commission based on initiative taken
Also, this is a remote opportunity with local travel.
