We are Chemical Engineers:
1. No : We can't teach Chemistry to your kid because we too don't understand it.
2. No: We don't work with Glass beakers, pipette or burette . We have bigger things to think about.
3. We work with Chemicals that can: Dissolve you, Peel You, Freeze you or Incinerate you instantly.
4. If you like Temperature and pressure, talk to us.
5. We are not surgeons but we specialize in few operations like mass transfer operations, heat transfer operations, fluid flow operations and mechanical operations.
6. We work in Shifts not because its a call center, but our Plants operates 24x7x365/366 (depending on whether its a leap year or not).
7. Mechanical Guys think that we are a part of them, but they dont have a clue of what we do. But on otherhand we know some of their buzz words like Stress, strain, butt weld, rivets ,hydraulic pressure ..Coz we studied it (at least of a semester). Honestly we need mech guys to fix our equipments.
8. Instruments Guys are the only one who understands us a little bit. Otherwise we will make their job tougher.
9. Electrical Guys don't know and don't care what we do. Neither do we about them , but they give us nightmare when the power supply dips.
10.Whenever you are filling up your petrol tank, light a gas stove, open a plastic wrapper, drink from a plastic bottle,write on a paper, buy a new cloth, washyour cloth with detergent, take a bath with shampoo and nice smelling soap, open a deo/perfume can, get new paint for your house or car, use a disinfectants or mosquito repellent, light a candle etc etc there is a CHEMICAL ENGINEER working for you.
