For years, rice farming has been guided by a simple belief: more water means better yields.

But in reality, excess water can do more harm than good. It significantly increases methane emissions, impacting both farm outcomes and the environment.

and regenerative practices like Direct Seeded Rice ( ) and Alternate Wetting and Drying ( ) are changing this narrative, helping farmers use water more efficiently, maintain yields, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

The right knowledge doesn’t just improve farming, it helps protect and restore the resources it depends on.

At Bayer, we are committed to advancing agriculture that supports both farmers and the planet.

At Bayer, Dynamic Shared Ownership isn’t just a way of working. It’s a shift in how we think, decide, and lead together. It means moving beyond top-down decisions to something more meaningful: shared context, distributed accountability, and decisions made closer to where real insights exist.

During his recent visit to India, our CEO Bill Anderson exemplified how "listening" powers , where ownership isn’t held in silos, but shared across teams, every single day.

Because when teams feel heard and trusted, they act with intent, putting consumer-centricity at the core of every decision.

We call it a blue planet.

But only about 3% of that is freshwater, sustaining everything from the food we grow to the ecosystems we depend on.

Yet traditional rice cultivation demands intensive water use and contributes significantly to methane emissions.

Bayer Rice Carbon Program (The Good Rice Alliance) is reimagining the way rice is grown. Through climate-resilient practices like Direct Seeded Rice ( ) and Alternate Wetting and Drying ( ), rice can be cultivated with less water and lower emissions, without compromising productivity, while also reducing irrigation costs and improving yields for farmers.

Today, this momentum is scaling through partnerships with companies like Amazon, offtaking carbon credits from the initiative. now reaches over 13,000 smallholder farmers across India and spans 35,000+ hectares, providing the training and support needed to drive lasting change.

remains one of the most prevalent cancers worldwide, accounting for 11.7% of all cancer cases. Yet for many women, dense breast tissue can make cancers harder to detect through conventional mammography.

Early detection can make a critical difference in outcomes. Contrast-Enhanced Mammography ( ) uses advanced imaging technology to help radiologists detect, localize, and assess breast lesions with greater clarity and efficiency.

At Bayer, our commitment to drives us to expand access to advanced imaging solutions across India, empowering clinicians with tools that enable confident diagnoses, streamline workflows, and improve patient outcomes.

Despite being told that agriculture and entrepreneurship weren't paths for women, Kalyani chose otherwise.

Belonging to a small village in Ranchi, Jharkhand, Kalyani Singh's journey to become an reflects resilience, determination, and the power of challenging long-standing norms.

With support from Bayer’s initiative, she started her own center with an aim to give access to inputs, markets, finance, and modern farming knowledge, to the local smallholder farming community.

At Bayer, we believe that when women are empowered with the right tools and opportunities, they don’t just transform their own futures, they help build stronger, more resilient communities. And Kalyani's success is just another example that stands testament to this belief.

Hundreds of gynecologists across the country came together to record a powerful pledge, reaffirming their commitment to informed micronutrient support for women and generations to come.

These individual voices came together as one collective action, earning recognition from Guinness World Records for the world’s largest gynecologist pledge for women’s nutrition.

Micronutrient deficiencies continue to affect women across India, quietly, persistently, and often without enough attention. This milestone goes beyond a record, reinforcing Bayer’s commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes through science-backed, holistic supplementation.
