We are a medical device start-up and have developed a needle free technology for screening and monitoring anaemia. Every year, globally, there are a million maternal and child deaths associated with anaemia because of a lack of technology that enables surveillance. We aim to change that scenario by making a positive impact through our technology as a point-of-care diagnostic device, ToucHb {pronou

nced as Touch Bee} that simplifies procedures, empowers doorstep health workers, facilitates timely intervention and aids surveillance. We'll be using this page to provide a "ball-by-ball" update of life at Biosense.

Want To Keep Diabetes Away? Eat Walnuts, Apples, Carrots

1. Walnuts:-
Walnuts are known to help build resistance to insulin, control blood glucose levels and lower the risk of developing Type-2 diabetes. They are rich in dietary fibers. Fibers take along to break down and digest, which ensures the slow release of sugar in the bloodstream.
2. Apple:-
An apple a day keeps the doctor away! Apart from being great for your overall health, the natural sugar in the fruit has a relatively low impact on insulin and blood sugar levels in the body.
3. Carrot:-
Diabetics can opt for carrots in their daily diet despite their sweet flavor as it can help manage blood glucose levels. Carrot juice may still contain sugar and carbohydrates, but it won't spike blood sugar levels.

Gestational diabetes means diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar) first found during pregnancy.
It occurs in 3-5% of all pregnancies (in other words, 1 in 20 pregnant women will develop gestational diabetes)
In most cases, gestational diabetes is managed by diet and exercise and goes away after the baby is born.
If you do need insulin, it will ensure blood glucose stays in the acceptable range, thereby reducing the risks to you and your baby.
Gestational diabetes should not be taken lightly. Immediate risks to the mother and fetus are very real; however, these risks can be minimized with good care and follow-up.
