Wavikar Eye Institute is an organization committed to the pursuit of quality and excellence in eye care services to all spheres of society. M.

Wavikar eye institute has evolved over two decades from small clinic nearly 1000 sqft to a big institute spread over 35000 sqft. The institute is lead by India’s highly reputed eye surgeon Dr. C. Wavikar who is Medical Director and heading cataract and refractive services. We are the first eye Hospital in Thane and around to get NABH Accreditation for its services. NABH Accreditation itself states about our global standards of Safety and Quality of care towards patients. Dr.Wavikar always had a vision to bring everything in eye care under one roof. It not only inspired him to pioneer newer technologies but create an institute to fulfill all the requirements. Achievements so far:
1.Beginning of no injection- no stitch – no pad cataract surgery.
2.First LASIK machine in Thane.
3.One of the first few NABH accreditated for eye hospitals in Maharashtra, again first in Thane.
4.First mobile eye clinic in and around Thane.
5.Founded Indirabai Charitable trust to provide comprehensive eye care to underprivileged patients
6.Started Vishwanath Eye Bank with the aim of community awareness on eye donation & corneal transplant services.
7.Commencement of first Optometry College in Thane.
8.First to do LenSx true laser- bladeless cataract surgery in whole of Asia.
9.Medical Tourism facilities for international patients.
