മരണ ശേഷമുള്ള അവയവദാനം ഇപ്പോഴും പൂർണാർത്ഥത്തിൽ നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ മുഖ്യധാരയിൽ വന്നിട്ടില്ല എന്നാണ് ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോഴും വളരെയേറെപേർ അതിനുള്ള സമ്മതപത്രം നൽകുന്നതിൽ നിന്ന് അകന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നു.

വലിയവിള കുണ്ടമൺകടവ് ബാലഭാരതി സ്കൂളിന് സമീപം ശ്രീവല്ലഭയിൽ ജി.ഗോപികാറാണി ടീച്ചർ(47) (,ആർ..കെ.ഡിഎൻ.എ സ്.എസ്.എച്ച്.എസ്.എസ്, ശാസ്തമംഗലം) നമ്മെ വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു.

7 പേർക്കാണ് ഗോപിക ടീച്ചറുടെ അവയവങ്ങൾ ദാനം ചെയ്തത്. ഭർത്താവ് കെ. പ്രവീൺകുമാർ (എൽബിഎസ്, തിരുവനന്തപുരം), മകൻ പ്രാൺ പ്രവീൺ. പ്രസിദ്ധ ചിത്രകാരൻ ചിറയിൻകീഴ് ശ്രീകണ്ഠൻനായരുടേയും ഗിരിജാകുമാരി (റിട്ട. ഹെഡ് മിസ്ട്രസ്)യുടേയും മകളാണ്.

ഈ ദുഃഖസന്ദർഭത്തിലും ഗോപികയുടെ കുടുംബത്തോട് മനുഷ്യനെന്ന നിലയിൽ നന്ദി അറിയിക്കാതെ വയ്യ. വലിയ തീരുമാനമാണ് അവർ കൈക്കൊണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളത്.
