OBJECTIVES
Ø Increase Health & Safety awareness through appropriate promotional methods and channels of communication.
Ø Provides promotional materials and develops and administers recognition systems to promote safe and healthful work performance.
Ø Develop, implement and monitor health and safety policy, programs and plans
Ø Conducting Food Safety awareness programs and promoting food safety procedures to public
Ø Suggest ways of recycling, waste disposal, pollution and industrial waste prevention practices
Ø Increase health and safety awareness across all levels and departments of the organization
Ø Coordinate and deal with health and safety committees, department of labor, government bodies and regulating agencies
Ø Advise on methods for improving the health and safety culture of an organization
Ø To provide security system to all sections of people to nominal fee and for handicapped without any fee
Ø To provide self defending system and training to all lady workers
Ø Help and assistance in any form for the relief of persons and animals affected by natural calamities on by poverty, sickness etc,...
Ø To grand pay or give scholarships stipends, prizes rewards, awards, allowances, and or any kind of assistance to students, scholars, researchers
Ø To establish, promote, aid implement documentation and dissimination of vital information and also to publish books, pemphlets, periodicals, news papers, magazines etc
Ø To improve the economic moral and social stands or villagers in the area of operations of the society.
Ø To provide HSE employement assistance / guidance in the form of counselling for those seeking employement for HSE professions.
Ø To organise and run Libraries, Reading Rooms, Study Circles, Seminars and Workshops etc.
Ø Lead and assist organisations at all levels in carrying out health and safety measures
Ø Maintain good relation and coordination with the company staff, management and external parties to maximize healthy environment and minimize risks
Ø Coordinate and provide necessary training in the areas of safety like first-aid, fire drills, accident, etc.
Ø Conduct safety inspections, health and safety test of the workplace periodically to prevent hazardous work environment
Ø Inspect and evaluate all equipment, practices and procedures in accordance with safety legislation and government regulations
Ø Assists management in the annual inspection of workplaces to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers as reasonable rate
Ø Provides appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training for managers and supervisors.
Ø Execute effective safety, hazard control and industrial hygiene program.
Ø Ensure employee safety training, classroom lectures, demos and hands-on instruction.
Ø Resolve complaints and suggest to management for corrective action.
Ø Develop policies and plans to reduce employee risk.
Ø Observe work in progress and assure safety equipment is worn and procedures followed.
Ø Plan, develop, participate in, and evaluate employee safety training in coordination with cognizant training groups, offices, and organizations.
Ø Establish, coordinate, direct, and evaluate the effectiveness of state government safety policies, plans, programs, and procedures.
Ø Co-ordinate at least two evacuation exercises per year to ensure that all staff become familiar with these procedures to selected groups
Ø Conduct surveys and audits as required to identify and minimise the risk to company and employees as nominal fee .
Ø Identify safety training needs, organise and co-ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate
Ø Develop, implement and maintain an effective program and ensure compliance to satisfy the requirements of local legislation
Ø Follow up on any deficiencies noted during inspections, and ensure that they are corrected.
Ø Monitor local area compliance with OHS policy and procedures
Ø Develop injury and incident prevention strategies for their area
Ø Provide advice, information and instruction on local OHS issues
Ø Arrangements for promoting, planning and controlling all aspects of health and safety in the workplace.
Ø Promote the systems for monitoring compliance with health and safety measures, including supervisory responsibilities and inspection.
Ø Promote the systems for the routine maintenance of safety plant and equipment.
Ø Promote the systems for reporting accidents and other incidents, including the level of detail required.
Ø Promote the systems for recording and documenting all actions taken and procedures implemented.
Ø Promote to set safety standards and targets in each organisations .
Ø Participate in risk assessments and safety inspections.
