As part of the Faculty development program, College of Occupational Therapy, Mental health unit NISH OTOPD along with IQAC, has arranged a FDP on Topic "Sexuality and Occupational Therapy : Strategies for Persons with Disabilities" On 10th July 2025 from 10:00 am to 12.30 pm,at Marigold Auditorium, NISH Campus. "Sexuality is an important aspect of everyone’s activities of daily living (ADLs) and directly relates to the quality of each person’s life. As an ADL, sexual activity is in one of the domains of occupational therapy (OT). Occupational therapists work with clients in all areas related to sexuality. Occupational therapists (OTs) have a role in the adaptation of sexual activity to meet the desires and safety needs of clients interested in that ADL. (OTPF: Occupational Therapy Practice Framework: Domain and Practice). NISH Executive Director Dr Suja K Kunnath was the chief guest and the Resource person was Dr Vinith Dani Jose J P , Professor & Head/Vice Principal - College of Occupational Therapy/NISH, BOT Interns Presented street play & Digital poster presentation and BOT students attended quiz for the same topic it was more beneficial to the students also.

The monthly assembly for July was held at the Marigold Auditorium, organized by the 5th semester BASLP students.
As part of the Doctor’s Day celebrations, Dr. Padmaja, Otolaryngologist at NISH, was honored with a ceremonial shawl and a framed photograph, presented by the Executive Director in recognition of her contributions.
A significant highlight of the assembly was the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected KUHS Union members for the academic year 2025–26. The union members were formally introduced and took an oath to serve with dedication and integrity. The oath was recited by Ms. Krishna A. R., KUHS Student Union Staff Advisor. Following this, Mohammed Farhaan, the newly elected Chairman of the KUHS Student Union, delivered an inspiring speech. He unveiled the name of the 2025–26 union as “Alokah”, meaning extraordinary illumination, and shared their vision, objectives, and motto.
A prize distribution ceremony was also held to honor DHI students from NISH who excelled in various competitions, including group dance, poster making, reel making, and photography, as part of the Nasha Mukth Cultural Day Celebrations organized by the Department of Social Justice.
