Gitanjali EYE & ENT Hospital Gitanjali EYE and ENT hospital is a superspecialty surgical centre for Eye and ENT disorders.

Gitanjali hospital was founded in 1984 by Dr Balakrishnan Nair, an eminent ENT specialist. For many years it has been a clinic with a lab and out patient services. Over the years Gitanjali hospital has been known for its ethical pratice and patient centric approach. In the year 2012, Dr Arun Nair an expert endoscopic surgeon made his father Dr Balakrishnan Nair ' s dream a reality and expanded the

hospital to include state of the art operative theatres and in patient facilities. In 2013 Gitanjali hospital' s department of ophthalmology was inaugurated under the guidance of Dr Ambika Shetty. The department has facilities such as Keyhole cataract surgery , Cornea clinic , Retina Clinic and Dry eye Clinic .

World wide, the prevalence of Myopia has increased over the years. Limited out door play and over use of screens has been attributed to increase the possibility of development of Myopia.
World Myopia week is observed on 19 th May to 25th May. This year the theme is "Screens Down, Eyes Up".

Join us in spreading awareness about myopia (nearsightedness) through creativity! We are excited to announce a Painting Competition for children ages 8 to 13, aimed at educating the community about the importance of eye health and how myopia can affect our vision.
