Glimpses from Keralam AYUSH Quality Internal Assessor Training Programme (NABH & KAYAKALP ) Batch - IV conducted by National AYUSH Mission on 24th and 25th March 2026 at IMG Trivandrum

The district-level inauguration of the Healthy Kerala Campaign, jointly organized by the Department of AYUSH, Government of Kerala and the National AYUSH Mission, was held on 28-02-2026 at Mar Ivanios Bethany School, Kallayapuram. The programme was inaugurated by the District Collector , Sri. Devidas IAS. The meeting was presided over by Smt. P. Priya, President of Kulakkada Grama Panchayat. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pooja P, District Programme Manager, National AYUSH Mission.

Smt. Anita Gopakumar, Smt. Bindu Lakshmi K, Smt. Divya Chandrasekhar, Smt. Saraswathi, Sri. R. Rajesh, Smt. Aswathy, Smt. Blessy, Smt. Saly Babu and Fr. Mathew Parakkal offered felicitations during the function. Dr. Bindu V, District Medical Officer (ISM) and Dr. Asha Rani T.S, Superintendent of the District Homoeo Hospital, explained the objectives and activities of the programme.

Seminars on the importance of healthy diet, exercise, sleep and lifestyle for holistic health were conducted by Dr. Dhanya R Dev and Dr. M.A. Rasiya. Free medical camps of Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha and Naturopathy, along with health card distribution, cancer screening, eye check-ups, bone density testing, healthy food expo, poster exhibition and documentary screening were also organized. Around 500 people benefited from the camp.

നാഷണൽ ആയുഷ് മിഷൻ്റെ സ്കീം അനുസരിച്ച് 2022-23 ൽ കേരള സർക്കാർ സമർപ്പിച്ച പ്രൊപ്പോസൽ പ്രകാരം കേന്ദ്ര ആയുഷ് വകുപ്പിൻ്റെ അനുമതി ലഭ്യമായ 15 കോടി രൂപയുടെ 50 ബെഡ് ആയുഷ് ആശുപത്രി അട്ടപ്പാടിയിൽ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നതിന് അഗളി പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ 1 ഏക്കർ ഭൂമി പൊതുപ്രയോജനാർത്ഥം സൗജന്യമായി അഗളി പഞ്ചായത്തിന് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തു നല്കിയ ശ്രീ. ജോസഫ് കുര്യൻ, ശ്രീ. ജിജിമോൻ ടി.പി., ശ്രീ. ബിജുകുമാർ എസ് എന്നിവർക്ക് ആയുഷ് വകുപ്പിന്റെയും നാഷണൽ ആയുഷ് മിഷൻന്റെയും ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നന്ദിയും അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങളും '
പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നതിന് എല്ലാ വിധ പിന്തുണയും നല്കുന്ന അഗളി പഞ്ചായത്ത് ഭരണസമിതിയ്ക്കും ഭൂമി സംബന്ധിച്ച് എല്ലാ അന്വേഷണങ്ങളും പൂർത്തിയാക്കി സമയബന്ധിതമായി രേഖകൾ ലഭ്യമാക്കിയ ഒറ്റപ്പാലം സബ് കലക്ടർ, അട്ടപ്പാടി സ്പെഷ്യൽ തഹസിൽദാർ, സബ് രജിസ്ട്രാർ, അഗളി വില്ലേജ് ഓഫീസർ എന്നിവർക്ക് പ്രത്യേകം നന്ദി അറിയിക്കുന്നു.
ഭൂമി ലഭ്യമാകുന്നതിനുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയ ജില്ലാ പ്രോഗ്രാം മാനേജർ ശ്രീമതി. സുനിത കെ.എസി ന് അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ.

ആയുര്‍വേദം, യോഗപ്രകൃതിചികിത്സ, യുനാനി, സിദ്ധ, ഹോമിയോപ്പതി ചികിത്സാ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളുടെ സമന്വിതരൂപമായ ആയുഷ്. കേരളത്തിലെ ആയൂർവേദവും ഇതര ആയുഷ് ചികിത്സാ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളായ യോഗ, പ്രകൃതിചികിത്സ, യുനാനി, സിദ്ധ, ഹോമിയോപ്പതി തുടങ്ങിയവയും അന്തർദേശീയ തലത്തിൽത്തന്നെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്.ആയുര്‍വേദത്തിന്റെ ഈറ്റില്ലമായ കേരളത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങള്‍, പ്രകൃതിയുമായി തന്മയീഭാവം പുലര്‍ത്തുന്ന ആയുഷ് ചികിത്സാരീതികളോട് ചരിത്രാതീതകാലംമുതല്‍ ആഭിമുഖ്യം പുലര്‍ത്തിപോരുന്നു.

ആയുഷിലൂടെ ആരോഗ്യപൂര്‍ണമായ ജീവിതത്തിനുതകുന്ന ജീവിതചര്യകള്‍, ശീലങ്ങള്‍, ആഹാരരീതികള്‍ ശീലമാക്കാം ആയുഷ് ചികിത്സക്ക് ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ പ്രസക്തി വര്‍ധിച്ച കാലഘട്ടമാണിത്. ആരോഗ്യസംരക്ഷണത്തിന് രോഗം ബാധിച്ച് ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ടെന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവാണ് ആയുഷിന്റെ ജനപ്രീതിക്ക് നിദാനം.

AYUSH Kerala is all about medical systems that are being practiced viz., Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy based on definite medical philosophies and represent a way of healthy living with established concepts on prevention of diseases and promotion of health. The basic approach of all these systems on health, disease and treatment are holistic. Because of this, there is a resurgence of interest on AYUSH systems.

The AYUSH systems, especially Ayurveda and Homeopathy, Siddha and Yoga play an important role in the Health Care Delivery System in Kerala. There are over 1500 institutions in these systems of medicine.
