🙏

In the present, we’re free – unburdened by the past and untroubled by the future. So much of modern life is focused on either what has already happened or on what’s to come.

We tend toward depression when we dwell in the past, carrying around the baggage of regret, shame, and guilt. When our minds are preoccupied with what might happen or could happen in the future, we become anxious, unable to predict with certainty the direction of our lives.

Anchoring ourselves to the present provides clarity and increases our capacity for understanding. Present moment awareness transcends time, as each moment flows into the next. When we ground into the here and now, we sink into a state of pure being that stretches out in each direction.

👉🚪 The present moment is the doorway to the realm of pure spirit.

🌱👣 Did you know?

The antifungal properties also make vinegar soaks a good idea for people who have toenail fungus. Soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes daily in a vinegar bath until the infection subsides. You can increase the length of time in the soak gradually. It may take two to three weeks or longer to see improvement in symptoms.
-
According to one study, the antifungal activity of vinegar is more powerful than that of other food preservatives, all while being safe enough to eat. It’s this action that’s credited for some of its most notable benefits. Vinegar has been found to slow the growth of some types of foot fungus.
-
Vinegar will not hurt your feet, but you should still dilute it for a foot soak. Generally, using 1-part vinegar to 2-4parts water is a good ratio. If you’re tolerating the diluted vinegar soaks, and not noticing any difference, you can use a stronger soak.
-
While the soak will smell strong, the odor will dissipate after the vinegar dries from your feet. You can also use essential oils to change the scent slightly.

11 Smart Eating Tips for Arthritis🌿

1. Eat mostly fruits, vegetables, whole grains and high-fiber foods.
2. Eat plant-based proteins. These are generally lower in saturated fat than meat-based proteins. Beans, lentils, dried peas, nuts, tofu and the grain quinoa are good protein sources.
3. Don’t drink your calories. Drinking even one sugar-sweetened soda a day can increase the risk of developing higher blood pressure and cholesterol. As an example, swigging a 20-ounce bottle of Coke delivers 240 calories and 65 grams of sugar. Quench your thirst with water instead.
4. Two-thirds of your dinner plate should consist of vegetables and fruits such as broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots.
Resist the urge to fill your pantry and kitchen counter with starchy, fatty and refined foods. If you don’t buy them, you won’t eat them.
5. Reserve the cookie, piece of pie or slice of cake for special occasions or as a reward. As a side benefit, you may also find you’re saving money because processed food products are often more expensive than fresh, unrefined foods.
7. Stop eating when you feel mildly satisfied but not yet full. If you need to loosen a belt buckle after a meal, you’re over-stuffed.
8. Record what you eat. Even lean people underestimate how much they consume by 10 to 15 percent. It has been proven that keeping a food diary can lead to weight loss.
9. If you’re sad, excited or depressed, take a walk rather than bingeing on high-fat foods. Emotional eating can quickly pull in the pounds.
10. Weigh yourself regularly to hold yourself accountable and monitor your progress.
11. Walk or do some other form of aerobic exercise, such as swimming or biking, each day. Not only does this help maintain weight, but in combination with smart food choices it can promote weight loss. Besides, exercise improves digestion, enhances cardiovascular health and can help achy joints weather the storms of pain and discomfort.
