The first batch of interns successfully completed their one month internship with help and guidance from SSS Foundation. These students are first generation graduates.

The Foundation continues its Skill Development Initiative. This time in a joint venture with V.O.Chidambaram College the foundation has offered various skill internships to the students in the areas of Horticulture, Inventory management, HR mgt. and Admin, House keeping & Accounts, Photography, Content writing & Digital marketing.

The 1st batch of students attended the orientation today (01.02.2024). These courses are structured in order to improve the skill sets that enhance the employment opportunity for the students.

The Foundation begins its "Skill Development" initiative. The programme was started to empower the youth by helping them learn skills of their interest so that they can earn & lead better lives.

As a first project a group of 7 women were identified during December 2022 and are now being trained for *Toy Making *Hand & Machine Embroidery and * Stitching.

Take a peek at our set up where the women get to access life sustaining skills and utilize them for their betterment. The products made by these women are being sold across India.

Awareness on Waste Management - An initiative towards clean
Earth. SSS Foundation has embarked into the Project of creating awareness on Waste Management. The event was planned with the primary motive to Educate the people about the need and ways to manage waste effectively. The project has started with it first community awareness event for the residents of Ganesh Nagar, Tuticorin on 17th July, 2022.

Mrs Thangakani, Life skill trainer spoke on the topic and took the participants through a lively session that disussed on
1. Why Waste Management is Important & how should we handle it ?
2. How to Effectively segregate waste ? (&)
3. How to Manage / handle the different types of waste that gets
collected

Chief guests for the event were Mr Veerabaghu, Municipal Councillor for the Ganesh Nagar Ward, Mr Praveen, Swatch Police (West Zone), Mr Saravanan, Municipal Councillor, 50th Ward, Mr Ponappan, Municipal Councillor, Millarpuram, Tuticorin, Mr Issakiraj, Municipal Councilor, Sipcot Area, Tuticorin & Mr Kannan,
Municipal Councilor P&T Colony, Tuticorin.

69 people from around 55 families from the targeted residential area participated in the programme.
