Ramakrishna Mission Narottam Nagar celebrated Viswakarma Puja, the worship of the divine architect, at the carpentry section of the institution on September 17, 2025.

The worship included a special puja, havan, ritual offerings, and bhajans. A large number of staff members and their families attended the celebration. Around 250 people received Khichuri prasad.

On September 16, 2025, students from classes 1 through 12 at Ramakrishna Mission School in Narottam Nagar left for their hometowns on autumn vacation. The school will reopen on October 31, 2025.

On 11th September 2025, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, observed to mark the 132nd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago address at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in 1893.

Shri Techu Aran, Deputy Commissioner, Tirap, was the Chief Guest. Shri C. H. Bhadsavle, founder of Saguna Bagh, Maharashtra, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Shri B. Tawsik, ADC, Deomali, and Smt. Indira Thamoung Riba, EAC, Deomali, were Special Guests.

The celebration began with a school band procession at Vidya Dwar, followed by a ceremonial welcome and the felicitation of meritorious students and winners of essay and painting competitions.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner urged students to adopt Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and contribute to nation-building through character formation. He further called upon the youth to make the fullest use of the facilities at Ramakrishna Mission, excel in studies, and secure a brighter future.

The Guest of Honour emphasized environmental conservation and communal harmony. The ADC and EAC also spoke on the occasion.

Swami Achyuteshananda, Secretary, welcomed the dignitaries, while Swami Jneyananda, Principal, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with a message of unity, peace, and brotherhood.

The students and staff members of Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Vidyalaya observed on September 11, 2025, the day on which delivered his famous lecture at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893 – 132 years ago.
The function included floral tributes and speeches. The function reminds us that the core message of all religions is one of brotherhood and harmony, rather than hatred and bigotry.
Together, let us strive for a better world for all living beings.
