⭐️ TCM Diagnosis Time! ⭐️
Looking at the TCM Spleen functions, we need to ask questions accordingly, to differentiate patterns and make the right diagnosis.
Remember Earth is at the centre in the cosmological sequence of the 5 Elements, so it affects all other systems. Digestion is the centre of our health!
- Fatigue (mental or physical): SP Qi def.
- Can’t get out of bed on the morning: SP Qi def.
- Chronically exhausted with weak limbs: Sp Qi sinking.
- Bloated after meals, loose stools, craving sweets: SP Qi def. with dampness.
- Food sensitivities, poor appetite, not hungry for breakfast: Sp Qi deficiency.
- Constant hunger: ST Heat.

The Uterus in Chinese medicine:
🌸 The lower Dan Tian (the room of elixir) is located below the navel on the lower abdomen. It contains the room of Essence, which holds both the female reproductive organs (Zi Bao) and the male ones (Bao Jing).

🌸 The Uterus in TCM includes the physical organ, but also the cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries and the entire female reproductive system.
🌸The Uterus regulates menstruation, conception and pregnancy.
🌸 It stores Blood for me**es, and the fetus during pregnancy.
🌸 It discharges Blood during me**es and assist in pushing the baby outpouring childbirth.
🌸 The menstruation cycle is an ebb and flow of Yin and Yang. The first half of the cycle there is an increase of Yin and Blood, and the second half there is an increase of Qi and Yang.

🌸 The Uterus depends on the TCM Kidneys and the Extraordinary Vessels to supply Essence. The Kidneys are the origin of me**es blood.
🌸 The Ren & Chong Vessels are closely related to the Uterus. The Ren provides Essence and the Chong provides Blood. The Du Vessel bring Yang to the Uterus for ovulation and releasing of the egg.
🌸 The TCM Heart also connects to the Uterus via the Uterus Vessel. It brings blood flow to the Uterus for good flowing menstruation, and emotional stability during the reproductive phase. If there’s long standing emotional stress, the Heart becomes deficient and amenorrhea, or menorrhagia can occur.
🌸 The TCM Spleen holds the blood within the blood vessels to prevent hemorrhage, and produces Blood assisting Kidneys.
🌸 The TCM Liver stores Blood for menstruation.
🌸 The TCM Stomach (via the Chong Vessel) turns me**es blood into milk for breast feeding.

One of the most empowering acupressure points on the body is CV 6, known as the Sea of Energy. You can do great healing for yourself and others – if you know the point location of CV 6, its functions, how to tap the point’s healing energy, and know the applications in this article. CV 6 strengthens the body’s internal condition, especially the colon, immune system, and sexual urinary reproductive system, and heightens your ability to heal yourself.

Point Location: CV 6 is located two finger widths below the centre of your belly button. The finger pressure should always be applied gradually. Go even slower and more carefully into the abdomen for the elderly and sick. During pregnancy be very gentle, and use the palm of your hand instead of your fingertips.

Point Function: CV 6 revives the body’s healing processes; develops vitality; strengthens the immune system, urinary system, and sexual reproductive system, and benefits the kidneys.

Good for Relieving: stomachache, abdominal cramping, constipation, gas, irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual cramps, insomnia, urinary incontinence, impotence, infertility, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, digestive headaches, body aches, a**l or re**al pains, and general weaknesses.

For Constipation: Press CV 6 two or three times a day to relieve and prevent constipation and irritable bowel. Pressing this point activates and strengthens the large intestine, encourages peristalsis, and relaxes the abdomen. Along with this point, use Chi Gong breathing exercises effectively for constipation and irritable bowel since the colon’s partner is the lungs in traditional Chinese health care.

Emotional & Spiritual Benefits: CV 6 is good for developing emotional stability and for deepening spiritual awareness; strengthens your sense of self; used for self-abuse, addictive behaviour, and codependency issues.

Sexuality: The Sea of Qi (CV 6) is good for all kinds of sexual problems for men and women. The abdominal muscles often tighten during lo******ng, which can block the flow of sexual energy. Pressing CV 6 and acupressure points around it, can relieve abdominal tension, strengthen the urinary and reproductive systems, and increase sexual intimacy and pleasure.

💚GB 44 is a Jing-Well point, so it works great to clear heat for high fever, fainting, and dream disturbed sleep (especially due to fear!).
It also can be used for migraines that feel better with a cool cloth, sudden deafness and high pitch tinnitus. And it clears ST heat due to chronic overeating, which creates Heart burns and acid reflux.

🔥TCM Diagnosis time! 🔥
Assessing the state of KD Essence through observation is a great way to know if the patient has a weak constitution. Vitality and a symmetrical bone structure reflect the state of Ming Men Fire. I also look at the patient and try to figure out her/his age, then I look at their birth date. If she/he look younger, that’s a good KD sign, but if she/he looks older, there is a weak KD.

👴🏾 Hair
- Premature grey hair or receding hairline: KD Essence declining.
- Falling hair by clumps or bald patches on the back of the head: Blood Deficiency.

😁 Teeth
- Crooked teeth or loose teeth: KD Essence def.
- Needing braces: KD Essence def.

👂Ears
- A long-full lobe: strong KD.
- Thin-small lobe: weak constitution.
- Dry, withered, greyish: Extreme KD exhaustion.
- Difficulty in hearing: KD Essence declining.

👀 Eyes
- Decreased vision: KD Essence declining.

🦶 Bones
- Weak bones, osteoporosis: KD Essence def.

Essence (Jing) cannot be replenished, but we can try to preserve it as we age, with a healthy lifestyle.
- Acupuncture to self regulate and keep homeostasis.
- Diet: Bone broth, seeds and collagen rich foods (egg white, fish with the skin, garlic...), black foods (back rice, black sesame/chia seeds, black beans, blackberries).
- Exercise: Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Yoga...
- Sleep at regular hours between 11 pm and 7 am.
