An awareness program titled “Avoiding Drugs, Loving Life, Strengthening the Mind” was conducted at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Arts and Science College, Perambalur.

The event was held in the presence of the Chancellor of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Mr. A. Srinivasan. The College Group Principal, Dr. Vetrivelan, presided over the program.

The Superintendent of Police, Perambalur District, Mr. A. Arokiyaraj, chaired the event and delivered the keynote address.

The special guest, Mr. Karan Louis, Social Mental Health Counsellor from Athma Mental Health Hospital, delivered a special address and clarified the doubts of the students. Additionally, Ms. Noorpunisha, Psychologist from HOPE Organization, delivered a felicitation address.

Around 3,500 students participated in the event, gained awareness, and took a pledge against drug abuse. The vote of thanks was delivered by the College Group Principal, Dr. Vetrivelan.

Strong Minds Build Safe Futures.

An awareness program on “Mental Health and Harmful Habits” was conducted for the 10th standard students of St. John Paul Higher Secondary School, located in Boothalur Taluk, Thanjavur District.

The session was presided over by the School Correspondent, Rev. Sister Merly, in the presence of respected professors and faculty members. The initiative aimed to educate students on the importance of mental well-being and the long-term impact of harmful habits during their formative years.

The special address was delivered by Mr. J. Karan Louis, Social Mental Health Counselor from Athma Mind Care Hospital. Through an interactive and insightful session, he guided students on emotional awareness, stress management, self-discipline, and making responsible life choices. The program emphasized the importance of seeking support, building resilience, and staying focused on personal growth.

A total of 142 students actively participated and benefited from the session, making it a meaningful and impactful initiative toward nurturing mentally healthy and responsible young individuals.

Right awareness at the right age shapes responsible futures.

An awareness program titled “How to Handle Unnecessary Desires at a Young Age” was conducted at the students’ hostel of Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli.

The program was presided over by Dr. Alex Rajkumar, Student Welfare Hostel Warden, and was led in coordination with Dr. Reena Raballa, Mental Health Centre Coordinator. The session focused on creating awareness among students on understanding and managing unnecessary desires during their formative years.

The special address was delivered by Mr. Karan Lewis, Social Mental Health Counsellor from Athma Mental Health Hospital, who interacted with the students and shared valuable insights.

More than 80 students participated in the session and benefited from the awareness program, highlighting the importance of timely guidance for youth development.
