A New Life Free from Drug Addiction
The Social Work Department at National College Higher Secondary School
organized a National Welfare Camp at Mel Pandamangalam, R. Dhananithi
Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
At the camp, an inspiring awareness program on “A New Life Free from Drug
Addiction” was conducted to empower students and the community to understand the
risks of drug use and make healthier, brighter choices for their futures.
Teachers Murali Krishnan and Balakrishnan led the session. We were honored to have
Mr. Karan Louis, Social Mental Health Counselor from Athma Mental Health
Hospital, as a special guest delivering a keynote address.
Mr. Karan Louis passionately highlighted the vital importance of mental health and
well-being while inspiring students to embrace a vibrant, drug-free, and positive life.
With active participation from over 30 students, the event became a meaningful step
toward creating a drug-free, aware, and empowered community.
Together, let’s take action—educate others, support one another, and make choices
every day that lead to a healthier, drug-free community.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, Athma Mind Care Hospitals proudly conducted 37 mental health awareness programs across Tamil Nadu in a single day. This remarkable endeavor not only showcases the unwavering dedication and commitment of our staff but also highlights our collective mission to illuminate the path toward mental well-being.

With each program, we sowed seeds of understanding and compassion, reaching hearts and minds in every corner of the state. Like a gentle breeze carrying whispers of hope, our efforts spread awareness and fostered conversations about mental health, breaking the silence that often surrounds it.

A Healthy Mind Leads to a Happier Life.

The Social Work Department at Christuraj College, Manikandam, Trichy, organized a Village Awareness Camp at the Community Hall near Sai Baba Temple in Mekkudi, Trichy.

At the camp, a program and a short film on "Healthy Mental Health" were presented to help villagers understand and care for their emotional well-being.

The session was led by Mrs. Isabella, Head of the Department of Social Work, and chaired by the Panchayat President. We were honored to have Mr. Babu, News Editor of Trichy Fast News, and Mr. Karan Louis, Community Mental Health Counselor from Athma Mental Health Hospital, as special guests.

Mr. Karan Louis delivered a powerful talk on the importance of mental health, encouraging the community to prioritize emotional wellness and break the stigma surrounding mental illness.

With active participation from students and villagers, the event became a meaningful step towards creating a mentally strong and aware community.
