Promoting Road Safety, Protecting Lives

As part of Road Safety Month, an impactful road safety awareness program was jointly conducted by the Tiruchirappalli City Police and Athma Mental Health Hospital near the Trichy Dairy Farm, focusing on traffic rules and the dangers of road accidents caused by alcohol consumption.

The initiative aimed to educate the public on the importance of following road safety regulations, responsible driving practices, and the serious consequences of drunk driving.

Through awareness messages and public interaction, the program highlighted how alcohol impairs judgment, increases accident risks, and threatens the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.

The awareness drive successfully promoted responsible road behavior and reinforced the need for collective efforts to prevent road accidents.

Together, let’s respect traffic rules, avoid alcohol while driving, and work towards safer roads for all.

The event was attended by Trichy City Police Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Mr. Manimaran, Palakarai Traffic Police Inspector Mr. Ramesh, Mr. Karan Lewis, a social mental health counselor from Athma Mind Care Hospital, and Gandhi Market Traffic Sub-Inspector Mr. Tamilarasan.
