At the Tamil Nadu Government’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, held during Maruthuva Ariviyal Manadu 2026 (மருத்துவ அறிவியல் மாநாடு 2026) – MEDUSNAPSE 2026, I delivered a talk in the seminar titled “Importance of Medical Education in Tamil and Its Future.”

My presentation, “The Need for Medical Education in Tamil,” was delivered on 10.01.2026 at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai.

Tiruchy Neurologist Appointed as International Advisor to UK College

Tiruchy-based neurologist Dr. M.A. Aleem has been appointed as the International Advisor to the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow (RCPSG).

A former Vice Principal of K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchy, Dr. Aleem is currently serving as Professor of Neurology at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College.

In his new role, Dr. Aleem will serve as the RCPSG’s International Advisor for a three-year term, acting as a point of contact for members worldwide.

Speaking on his appointment, Dr. Aleem said, “This is a great recognition of my academic journey and years of government service. I am honored to contribute to the college’s global mission and connect with medical professionals across the world.”

This appointment adds yet another milestone to Dr. Aleem’s illustrious career in neurology, education, and public service.
