Empowering Youth through Skill Development! 🎓🚀

Today, Nanda Nath Saikia College, in collaboration with Rakta Sanjeevani (NGO), successfully organized an Orientation Programme on Skill Development and Vocational Training.

Under our recent MoU, we are proud to introduce specialized job roles certified by Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), Jorhat, and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati (MSDE, Govt. of India):

🧸 Creative Soft Toy Maker (Advanced)

⚡ Helper-Electrical Technician

🧵 Jacquard Handloom Weaver

We were honored to have a distinguished panel of experts and dignitaries:

● Academic Leadership: The Principal, Vice Principal, and IQAC Coordinator of NNSC.

● Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), Jorhat (MSDE): Titabar Block Field Officer Prafulla Dutta.

● SAMARTH Project (IIE, Guwahati): Coordinator Swapna Das, Master Trainer Apurba Sharma, and Assistant Trainer Purabi Dutta.

● Vocational Master Trainers: Anima Saikia (Soft Toy Making) and Debojit Hazarika (Electrician Helper).

Students gained valuable insights through practical lectures delivered by expert trainers, bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks to the Rakta Sanjeevani Team—Hirok Jyoti Gogoi, Daisy Gogoi, Dipak Rai, Gautam Talukdar, and Nikhil Gohain—for their vital role in MIS registration and Skill India Portal data management.

We were proud to demonstrate a diverse range of products created by our entrepreneurs at the School Meetup Programme held at Khorikotiya High School, Titabar. The exhibition featured:

1. Eri Silk & Cocoons

2. Traditional Handloom Products

3. Eco-friendly Banana Fiber Bags

Inauguration of Skill Development Training Programme on Jacquard Handloom Weaving 🧵

We are pleased to announce the successful inauguration of the Skill Development Training Programme on Jacquard Handloom Weaving at Deoghoria Gaon, Titabar, Jorhat.

This program is an initiative under the SAMARTH Scheme of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It is being implemented by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, in collaboration with the IQAC, NNS College, and Rakta Sanjeevani.

🔹 Objective of the Programme

The SAMARTH scheme aims to provide demand-driven, placement-oriented skilling interventions. This specific training focuses on:

1. Upgrading traditional weaving skills with advanced Jacquard technology.

2. Enhancing the quality and marketability of local handloom products.

3. Promoting sustainable entrepreneurship among the rural artisans of Jorhat.

🔹 Collaboration for Growth

The synergy between government bodies, educational institutions like NNS College, and social organizations like Rakta Sanjeevani ensures a holistic approach to community development and economic empowerment.

🌿 Fostering Future Entrepreneurs in Natural Fibre! 💡

Rakta Sanjeevani, Jorhat is proud to highlight the successful Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Natural Fibre, held today, December 6th, 2025, at the esteemed Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat!

This hands-on program was conducted as a key activity under our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nanda Nath Saikia College, Titabar.

It was inspiring to witness the energy and commitment of the NN Saikia College students. The workshop provided them with vital hands-on knowledge, practical exposure, and entrepreneurial insights into the sustainable and growing natural fibre sector. Their active participation in demonstrations and discussions on innovative product development truly showcased their creativity.

We believe that providing such skill-based and experiential learning opportunities is crucial for empowering the next generation of local entrepreneurs.
