we often think overthinking is about just stopping your thoughts; but most of the time, it’s something much deeper..

it’s slower, it’s quieter and it asks for a different kind of attention..

if this resonates, maybe your system isn’t “too much”—
it’s just asking to be understood differently!!

at being blithesome, we create and hold space for this kind of understanding; and if this feels like something you want to understand more deeply✨

if talking to friends was enough,
you wouldn’t keep ending up in the same patterns..

please know, both are valuable — just not interchangeable!

a friend offers comfort, validation, and presence.
a therapist offers perspective, patterns, and deeper understanding.

comfort holds you; insight changes you.

one helps you feel better in the moment.
the other helps you understand why it keeps happening — and how to break it.

it’s not friends vs therapy.
it’s about giving yourself what you actually need✨

save this for when you notice the pattern again😌

i was in a session today, and a client told me how the way i approach therapy feels different from what she’s experienced before—and that she feels safe in it🌻

it made me pause for a moment💭

and i found myself thinking about how often therapy is expected to look a certain way—structured, fast, solution-focused.

but healing doesn’t always work like that.

sometimes it’s slower, sometimes it’s unclear, sometimes it’s simply being with someone who doesn’t rush you out of what you’re feeling.

and that’s the space i try to hold✨

with the way the field of mental health is evolving,
it’s important to pause and question what we’re learning — and where we’re learning it from

a lot of what we see online is simplified and taken out of context;
it may build awareness, but it doesn’t always offer depth or accuracy.

mental health conversations are everywhere right now — and that matters;
but not everything that resonates is reliable, and not everything that’s popular is precise.

this space needs more nuance and responsibility;
because knowing the language of mental health is not the same as understanding people..

discernment is as important as awareness!!

save this for when mental health content starts feeling confusing✨

for a long time, i thought healing meant fixing myself!!

but in practice, i’ve seen something different—
with clients, and within myself😌

healing often begins when we stop adding more, and start releasing what was never ours to carry🙄

old patterns..
learnt roles..
internalised beliefs..

not all at once, and never perfectly—
but with awareness, intention, and compassion💭

this is the work!!
not becoming someone new, but returning to who you are, without the weight✨

you’re not always exhausted because you’re doing too much.
sometimes, you’re exhausted because you’re holding too much.

unprocessed emotions.
unspoken boundaries.
unresolved inner conflicts.
the constant pressure to function, perform, and “be okay”!!

psychological exhaustion doesn’t always look dramatic.
it looks like showing up every day.. while quietly feeling drained!!

and most people don’t realise —
this kind of exhaustion doesn’t go away with rest.
it needs awareness. processing. support.

if this resonates, it might not be about pushing harder,
but about finally understanding what’s weighing on you✨
