A Young patient came to us with two Penetrating wounds to Thorax(A/H/O STAB)
He came to us from another medical college with an ICDT insitu.
Vitally stable and external wounds were already sutured.
CECT Thorax and abdomen revealed small liver laceration rest normal..
But subsequently patient developed Tachycardia, Tachypnea and saturation started to fall. ICDT Output was not much and oxygen requirement was increasing..
So we suspected diaphragmatic injury and decided to do Diagnostic Laparoscopy SOS Thoracoscopy.
Found the "Tear in Diaphragm" and repaired it Laparoscopically.

Immediate Post op. Saturation improved to 96-97 % without any oxygen support.
Next day we removed ICDT
Patient was discharged on day 3.

PS
Laparotomy / Thoracotomy in this patient would have increased the morbidity significantly, so selected patients even in trauma may be benefitted
With Laparoscopy.
