6 year old girl child presented to us with her thigh bone protruding through the skin on a late evening.

With conventional plates and implants not possible because of small sized bones and arranging special implants at the late hours difficult, we had to think out of the box since there's no much time to fix the bones.

We used adult plates to be used in arm bones which will closely match the child's bones.

Final results after wound care and physiotherapy are amazing.

Happy restoring her limb to full function.

Elbow replacement in fractures is one of the challenging tasks. Decision to replace in young is hard to make.

With no chance of fixing with any modality available we decided to replace.

Needless to say the post op rehabilitation (which is still on) and patient cooperation plays a vital role in results.
