It is hereby informed to all citizens of Ukhrul and Kamjong District that the Department of Information Technology, Government of Manipur, in collaboration with M/s HCL Tech, will be conducting a Skill Development with Placement Program titled “HCL TechBee Manipur”.
2. This initiative is exclusively for students from Ukhrul and Kamjong District who have successfully completed Class XII. The program aims to equip students with job-ready skills and provide placement opportunities in the IT sector.
3. As part of the program, a Counselling-cum-Examination for recruitment will be held as per the schedule below:
Date: 8th May,2026 Time: From 11:00 AM onwards
Venue: DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul District

4. Eligibility criteria:
 Students who have completed Class XII in 2025/2026 with an overall 65% or more in Class XII under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, 70% or more in Class XII under CBSE/ICE board.
 Candidates who have scored 60% or more marks in Mathematics/Business Mathematics for IT roles.
 Candidates not having Mathematics are eligible for Associate roles (Non-IT).

Ukhrul District joined the nation today in celebrating the 77th Republic Day Celebration, 2026 at the Bakshi Ground, Hungpung.

The Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Shri. Asish Das (IAS) unfurled the national flag and took Rashtriya Salute. The celebration was added colours by the sectacular parade from 24 marching contingents which was commanded by SDPO, Chingai, Shri. Chongtham Sarjan Singh (MPS).

As part of the program, a special performance was presented beautifully by the Phalee Students captivating the hearts of many. Also, a breathtaking band display was witnessed from the 18th Assam Rifles Band, Somsai.

A proud moment for Ukhrul Public School (Girls) for having won the March Past Competition, Little Angel English School (Girls) as the First Runners-Up and two Second Runners- Up from Ukhrul Central School and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ukhrul.

Shri. Asish Das (IAS), the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul along with Shri. Dinringam Kamei (MCS), SDO-Ukhrul flagged off the shingling of road at Rashontang, Hungpung today. The renovation project is set to be taken up under ‘Unlocking Ukhrul’ which is a major development initiative launched by the Deputy Commissioner himself focusing on improving infrastructure, particularly by renovating 300 kilometers of rural roads under the MGNREGA scheme.
