Our Services
Crowns
Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence uses Crowns to cover and support a tooth with a large filling, repair broken, fractured or decayed teeth, protect a weak tooth from breaking, replace teeth repaired by a root canal, or simply for cosmetic enhancements restoring your tooth to its natural shape, size and color.
Crowns require two appointments to complete. During the first appointment, an impression will be made to create your crown and a temporary crown will be used until your second appointment when your permanent crown will be installed.
Bridges
Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence uses a bridge, technically called a fixed partial denture, to fill the gap where teeth are absent. The artificial teeth literally bridge the gap where one or more teeth are missing. The restoration can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support. Depending on which type of bridge your dental surgeon recommends, its success depends upon its foundation. So it’s very important to keep your remaining teeth healthy and strong.

Whitening
A bright, beautiful smile is one of the most effective ways to improve your appearance. Not to mention, with a brighter smile you’ll be more confident and smile more often. Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence in Baleshwar,Odisha specializes in teeth whitening (or bleaching).
Our process is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment that alters your teeth’s natural enamel and can be accomplished in our office or at home. We offer an efficient in-chair bleaching process in addition to the more traditional method of wearing custom-fit bleaching trays. We’ll go over your options and recommend the teeth whitening treatment that is right for you.
Dental Implants
At Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence, another option for replacing damaged or missing teeth is dental implants. Implants offer another alternative to dentures and crowns when patients want a replacement tooth that looks, feels and performs like their natural teeth. Implants are attached directly to the jawbone with a titanium post and serve as a base for replacement teeth, bridges or dentures. They help prevent bone deterioration that happens when teeth are missing.
Dental Implants require multiple appointments to complete and not all patients are candidates for implants. Candidates must have healthy gums and adequate bone structure to support the implant.
If you have questions about dental implants or you want to see if you are a candidate for dental implants please give us a call at +919036755475.
Root Canals
Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence can perform Root Canal treatment when the core of a tooth is diseased or damaged and repair is required to keep the tooth from dying or being removed. This procedure requires the removal of the core or “pulp” of the tooth. The root canal is cleaned and then sealed by a filling to prevent any further damage to the tooth. Your dentist will then place a crown over the tooth to help make it stronger.
Most of the time, a root canal is a relatively simple procedure with little or no discomfort involved. Best of all, it can save your tooth and your smile!
Orthodontic therapy
Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence can use orthodontic braces to correct malocclusion (bad bite) and misalignment of the teeth. Braces are typically recommended for children and teenagers, but an increasing number of adults are now seeking orthodontic treatments. Dental braces owe their success to technology that supports predictable results. Braces are tailored to the wearer’s unique needs and create beautifully straight smiles.
Why Choose Braces?
Crooked, twisted or poorly spaced teeth can be an aesthetic issue, but malocclusion and dental misalignment impact far more than appearance. In fact, malocclusion has been linked to other dental problems, as well as uncomfortable physical issues. Even a single improperly positioned tooth can cause difficulties in hygiene routines and make patients feel self-conscious.
Braces offer many benefits, including:
Improved Oral Hygiene – Poorly aligned teeth can make maintaining excellent oral hygiene difficult. Hard-to-reach places between overlapped and tight teeth can become breeding grounds for oral bacteria.
Better Digestion – Serious digestive disorders can result from improper chewing created by significant bite misalignment. Realigning the teeth and jaw using braces restores optimal functionality.
Improved Confidence – Dental patients with properly aligned teeth enjoy a positive self-image and do not feel worried about displaying their smiles in social and professional situations.
Dentures
Dr. Satpathy’s Dental Excellence provides specialized care of providing dentures.Losing teeth can take a blow on someone’s self confidence because of the change it can have on one’s face. Bone loss also causes the muscles on your face to sag, adding years to the face. Aside from the noticeable change in appearance, losing teeth can also severely affect chewing and your speech.
Whether you have lost teeth because of gum disease, tooth decay, an accident or genetic issue, replacing missing teeth with dentures can greatly improve your overall dental health and appearance.
Before you take the next step to fully restoring your smile, take some time to do some research first. Here are some important things that might help you out:
Different Types of Dentures
There are different types of dentures that cater to various cases. Here are some of the most common kinds.
Full dentures – Full dentures are a complete set that replace either the full set of upper or lower teeth. The false teeth are secured by a flesh-colored base made of acrylic to resemble the gums. Because of the work required to craft a full set of false teeth, this type takes between 2-4 months to create. Additionally, your mouth may need to be slowly reshaped after all the teeth have been taken out. In preparation for the full dentures, your dentist may fit an immediate denture (usually done the same day) until the finished full dentures are done.
Partial dentures – If there are only a couple of teeth missing, the ideal option is partial dentures. This type will help complete your smile by filling in the missing gaps. There are several types of attachments for partial dentures including metal clasps that hooks to the surrounding teeth for support or an acrylic base that is fitted on the gums. There are also those that can be attached to the crowns of remaining teeth.
Overdentures or implant-supported dentures – Overdentures can be a full or partial set that is attached to your jawbone through an implant that’s placed inside your jaw. This requires a little more waiting and healing as metal implants need to be surgically installed in your jawbone. While it may sound a little more complex, this type of dentures offers the most secure fit. Unlike the conventional types, overdentures are far more stable and will not slip out of place.
