​ appear due to changes in vitreous gel of the eye. Vitreous gel is a jelly like substance filling the back of the eye, it is firm at the time of birth as person grows old there is tendency for this gel to melt or liquify ,this liquified vitreous gel produces shadow and person sees them as floaters. Some times floaters can be associated with serious eye condition like
​ hemorrhage (blood in the eye)
​(inflammation in eye)
​ retinopathy
​ to eye
​ detachment
​ tear
If there is associated condition it needs treatment as per the cause of floaters
person should get him or herself examined by eye specialist at first appearance of floaters or if associated with
​
​ of vision
​ like feeling
​ and redness
Treatment options are
ignore the floaters if no associated eye problem
​ vitreolysis
