FIRE EVACUATION DRILL !!!
In Arunai Medical College & Hospital we conducted a fire evacuation drill today(30-10-2021).
The main purpose of this is to create awareness on the integrated approach to the reduction of life and property loss from fire through rational fire safety decision-making.
The Fire Department showed us a demo session on how to extinguish the fire using sand, wet gunny sacks, fire extinguishers.
Why do you need fire drills at work?
How people behave in high-pressure situations, such as fires, can vary but this factor can be hugely important when it comes to effective evacuation.
Fire drills allow staff to practice evacuation procedures in a simulated situation to ensure they are fully aware of how to safely exit the building.
Fire drills are also an important opportunity to analyze how effective the evacuation procedure is and how effective the exit routes were so that changes can be made to improve the strategy in the future.
