Dr Himadri Chakraborty a renowned speaker came to DantSpa! It was an honour to have a senior mentor to come learn our FMR technique by Dr Debashree Chandak.

Dr Chakraborty was here for 5 days to complete the patient from start to end with indirect composite. He fabricated the indirect composite chairside and cemented them.
We finished the theory classes (10 days ) online prior to the on patient experience.

Dr Debashree Chandak completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery (BDS) from VSPM Dental College and hospital, Nagpur in the year 2010. She has been the topper in the throughout her bachelors. She did her internship in 2011 from Government Dental College Nagpur, giving her vast experience in all fields. She did her Masters in Clinical Dentistry Prosthodontics from one of the most prestigious dental colleges, Kings College, London. This was a 4 year a course from 2012-2016. She passed with a merit in the course. She has presented various papers and posters in her academic years and won a few.

Debashree absolutely believes that even the smallest of a dental procedure can a make a lot of difference in the patient’s life. Each treatment should be done with utmost expertise and comfort for the patient. Each procedure should be like an experience of a spa..giving relaxation not only to the teeth in pain but also a soothing experience for the patient. So her Brand name is DANTSPA. She is the proprietor at DantSpa. DantSpa aims at consulting for specialized full mouth rehabilitation cases using direct chair side composites, zirconia and highly demanding aesthetic cases and implant dentistry. DantSpa has gone digital, using intra oral scanner in daily practice and taking the practice to next level. DantSpa also aims to provide career counseling for freshly passed BDS graduates for career options and guiding them through the tough times. She has been writing lot of blogs on dentistry like “How to design dental clinics part 1-2-3”, “What after BDS part 1-2”… She has been into dental photography since 2012 and documenting most of her cases from start to end.

The most interesting part of her work is doing full mouth rehabs using direct chair side composite. She aims to popularize this technique as this an affordable solution to doing any indirect ceramic work. Not only it is affordable, patients can also protect their teeth from the ongoing wear until they can have enough to do a ceramic full mouth. Full mouth composite is the perfect solution to a common dentist and a common patient making such full mouth treatments from being an expensive exclusive treatment to a common affordable, durable solution.

She has won the prestigious Henry Schein Scholarship worth $5000 at London in 2014. She has also won the first Prize at a clinical presentation online at a prestigious group called R.I.P.E, Restorative Implant excellence group in 2016 and won the course worth $3000. She has also won local dental photography contest in 2016. Recently she has been awarded the Best Prosthodontist of the Year by Indian Dental Diva 2018. Recently she has been awarded the Green badge by one of most prestigious and famous dental community R.I.P.E. This badge has been awarded for consistently posting cases of excellence. And only a few (about 35) in the whole dental world hold such badges.

Life is not just about dentistry !!She has been the president of the Rotaract club Of Nagpur Ishanya at the age of 22. The club was involved in large treatment camp held at Hemalkasa Gadchiroli which is known as a naxalite area. The camp was held at Dr Prakash Amtes premises. She also loves animals and works for their rights and medical care.
