“When I first moved to the US, I couldn’t help but miss my motherland. The comfort of home, family, and familiar surroundings. But over time, I’ve come to love the freedom and respect I’ve found here. The kindness, the warmth, the constant greetings and smiles — it’s all so welcoming. What I truly value is the space people give you. No one judges you for where you come from or how you choose to raise your children.
In India, there’s always someone with an opinion, always someone telling you what you ‘should’ be doing, especially as a mother. No one warned me about the quiet grief that comes with becoming a mother.

Not grief in the sad, hopeless way.

But the kind where you look in the mirror and whisper,

“Where did she go?”

The version of me who had slow mornings, solo coffee runs, spontaneous plans…
The version who didn’t carry a mental checklist 24/7.

The one who didn’t feel guilty for wanting 30 minutes alone.

Motherhood gave me new purpose — yes.

But it also made me mourn pieces of the woman I used to be.

And here’s what I’ve learned…
🌱 You can love your child fiercely and still miss your old life.
🌱 You can honor who you were and who you’re becoming.
🌱 You’re allowed to hold both — the grief and the gratitude — without shame.

This kind of honesty doesn’t make you a bad mother.

It makes you a human one.

And that, my friend, is more than enough.

My 42-year-old Client came with these issues: Hypothyroidism, Insulin Resistance, Fatigue, tiredness, difficulty falling asleep, stubborn weight, sugar cravings, irregular periods.

Her Hypothyroid relapsed once she was put on steroids when she got COVID.

Over 3 months, here’s what I did for her:👇
✅Eliminated inflammatory foods (gluten, sugar, dairy, soy, corn, etc)
✅Taught her how to Plate her Meals with quality proteins, fats & carbs.
✅Supported her Gut & Liver Health- important for converting T4(Inactive hormone) to T3 (Active hormone).

“The Part of My Postpartum Recovery No One Prepared Me For…”

The part of postpartum recovery no one really talks about?

It’s not just diapers and sleepless nights.
It’s looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself.

It’s dealing with gestational diabetes, a C-section scar, excessive hair fall, and a body that doesn’t feel like yours anymore.

I had diastasis recti, a weak core, and a tired body that had just created life.

But I also had a fire in me — to heal, slowly and surely.

I didn’t bounce back overnight.

I worked out daily — not to punish my body, but to reconnect with it.
I supported myself with protein powder, collagen, prenatal vitamins, and the foods I knew my hormones would love:
🥑 Avocado
🥚 Eggs & chicken
🧈 Ghee, olive oil, flaxseed oil
🥦 And lots of vegetables

It’s taken time, intention, and patience.

Do you know why these nutrients are important for supporting your Thyroid health?

Selenium: The thyroid tissues store most of the Selenium & it is crucial nutrient needed to convert the active thyroid hormone (T3) from T4 (inactive form). It also acts as an antioxidant & can help in preventing your thyroid gland from oxidative damage.

Iodine: It helps in making Thyroid hormones (T4 & T3), if one doesn’t have enough Iodine then the body can’t make thyroid hormones.

Iron: It’s an important nutrient for thyroid health as it’s required in the conversion of T4 (inactive form) to T3 (active form). Iron deficiency anemia is commonly seen in people with Hypothyroidism.

Apart from these nutrients like Zinc, Magnesium, L- Tyrosine, Vitamin A, etc are also needed for optimal thyroid functioning.
