Spastics Society of Karnataka (SSK) [Centre for Developmental Disabilities] established in 1982 provides comprehensive rehabilitation services both in urban and rural areas, for Children with Developmental Disabilities The Society provides core services in medical, paramedical (therapy; assistive technology; psychoeducational), family support, educational and vocational programs. Aims: The Society is established for charitable objectives and purposes.

 To promote activities for the prevention and management of Developmental Disabilities.
 To provide for the diagnosis, treatment, education, rehabilitation and generally for the care, welfare and advancement of children affected by Developmental Disabilities

It gives us immense joy to invite you to the Winter Carnival 2025, hosted by the Spastics Society of Karnataka. This milestone celebration is dedicated to fostering joy, unity, and the spirit of inclusion.

The Carnival will showcase the talents, creativity, and resilience of persons with disabilities, alongside vibrant cultural performances, interactive stalls, and community activities. It is a festival where diversity is embraced, accessibility is celebrated, and every individual shines.

Kumari Sheeba Koilpichai, Bengaluru’s gifted Warli artist and teacher, has turned her multiple disabilities into a powerful canvas of creativity. With 3,000+ paintings, national and international recognition, and her work adorning the Rashtrapati Bhavan, she continues to inspire through art and teaching at the Spastics Society of Karnataka.

Honoured with the National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2025 (Shreshth Divyangjan) for her exceptional artistic excellence.

Huge Congratulations to our very own Kumari Sheeba, Assistant Vocational Instructor at SSK! 🙌

She has been honoured with the National Award for Individual Excellence under Category 1 - other specified disability by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India! We’re beyond proud of her achievements!

Not only is she an inspiration to many, but she’s also a talented independent Warli artist 🎨. Her hard work and dedication have been recognized nationally, and we’re thrilled she’s receiving this prestigious honour in Delhi!

Here’s to many more milestones, Sheeba! 💫

It's that time of the year again when we at the Spastics Society of Karnataka get working on bringing to you our annual Winter Carnival. Hang out in our charming campus at Indiranagar to soak in all the light-hearted music, delightful games, lip-smacking eats and much more. Our extremely talented students will also be showcasing their best works. So here's a chance for you to own some of their finest creations.
