It’s important to seek emergency care if you or someone you know has the following medical issues:
1. Heart attack symptoms
2. Stroke symptoms
3. Infections such as pneumonia, kidney and skin infections
4. Sepsis
5. Problems associated with diabetes, obstructive lung disease and heart disease, and chronic medical problems
6. Head injury with passing out, fainting or confusion
7. Injury to neck or spine, particularly if there is loss of feeling or 8. inability to move
9. Electric shock or lightning strike
10. Severe burn
11. Severe chest pain or pressure
12. Passing out, fainting
13. Pain in the arm or jaw
14. Unusual or bad headache, particularly if it started suddenly
15. Suddenly not able to speak, see, walk, or move
16. Suddenly weak or drooping on one side of the body
17. Dizziness or weakness that does not go away
18. Inhaled smoke or poisonous fumes
19. Sudden confusion
20. Heavy bleeding
21. Possible broken bone, loss of movement, particularly if the bone is pushing through the skin
22. Deep wound
23. Serious burn
24. Coughing or throwing up blood
25. Severe pain anywhere on the body
26. Severe allergic reaction with trouble breathing, swelling, hives
27. High fever with headache and stiff neck
28. High fever that does not get better with medicine
29. Throwing up or loose stools that does not stop
30. Poisoning or overdose of drug or alcohol
31. Suicidal thoughts
32. Seizures
