An Elderly Screening Camp was organized at Shyamguri TE AAM on 15th October 2025 on the occasion of Elderly Week, under the National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE). The camp was conducted under Dhekiajuli BPHC, Sonitpur, Assam, with the aim of providing comprehensive health services to the elderly population.
Key services provided during the camp included general OPD consultations, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening, assessment of visual impairments, screening for mental health issues, and tuberculosis (TB) screening. The initiative focused on early detection and timely management of age-related health conditions to enhance the quality of life among senior citizens.

A comprehensive Awareness Program was successfully conducted at Gopinath ME School under Puthimari AAM, Bihaguri BPHC, with the active participation of the CPHC (Comprehensive Primary Health Care) team and Anganwadi Workers. The program focused on crucial public health topics including the prevention of anemia, the importance of an iron-rich diet, personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, and menstrual hygiene.The objective of the initiative was to educate students and the local community about the significance of maintaining good health and hygiene practices, especially among adolescent girls. Special emphasis was laid on the role of nutrition in preventing anemia, highlighting the need for a balanced diet rich in iron and other essential nutrients. Demonstrations and informative sessions were conducted to promote healthy practices and dispel myths associated with menstrual hygiene.
