👉Dussehra is more than just a celebration of ancient mythological tales; it is a reminder of the timeless values of courage, righteousness, and devotion that continue to resonate with people today.

🌟The word “Dussehra” is derived from the Sanskrit words “Dasha” (meaning ten) and “Hara” (meaning defeat), referring to the victory of Lord Rama over the ten-headed demon king, Ravana.

🌞The festival also marks the day when Goddess Durga defeated Mahishasura after a fierce battle that lasted nine days, symbolising the ultimate triumph of good over evil.

🌱Similarly we have to be victorious in achieving a healthy state of mind and body for a happier life for ourselves and our family.

🗣️It’s important to talk about our mental health with someone we trust, and seek professional care when we need it, just as we would with a physical injury or ailment.👥

Feel free to ask about any questions related to mental health.

👉Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks.

👉People with Alzheimer’s have trouble doing everyday things like dressing, cooking, eating or grooming.

👉They may ask the same questions over and over, get lost easily, lose things or put them in odd places, and find even simple things confusing.

👉Although complete cure isn't yet possible, with adequate and appropriate treatment, life of the patient and their family members can be made better.

🍂Let's be supportive when elders can't support themselves.
Let's be aware of old age mental health issues.
Let's be responsible.

*Importance of self control*

👉Self control with respect to managing one's impulses, emotions and behaviours separates humans from other animals.

👉Being primarily controlled by the prefrontal cortex of the brain, self control helps in directing our emotions constructively and prevents us from acting on every impulse which may turn out to be counterproductive.

👉This control helps us in dealing with challenges, planning, problem solving and decision making.

👉This is helpful in assessing any life situation from various perspectives and taking appropriate and suitable actions.

👉Let's talk about mental health.

🙁It's saddens to see students dying by suicides and parents following them.

😶Not sure who is to be blamed. Whether it's the parental pressure or the children's self imposed pressure to crack the competitive exams?

☝One of the factors is definitely the pressure that's exerted by the parents during the developmental age group.

🤔Parents tend to compare their child's grades with neighbor's/relatives' children, imposing a pressure to get better marks. Intention of parents is for the good of the child. *But the major question is whether it's doing any harm?*

😵‍💫Generally parents are also apprehensive whether their child grades are lesser due to lower IQ.

👉Lower IQ definitely deteriorates the grades of children. But that doesn't mean that a child getting lesser grades have lesser IQ.

✌It's apparent from life histories of many successful personalities that school grades didn't define their life.

👍Better school grades definitely makes the life relatively easier but that doesn't mean kids with lesser grades can't do good in life.

😇Let's not over pressurize the kids to an extent where they begin to think that there is no life beyond the grades/competitive exams.

🙂Let's motivate them to work harder and persevere towards their goals.
