Glimpses from the very first Kerala AYUSH Kayakalp Awards 2025 held at Jimmy George Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on 29th August 2025. The event was inaugurated by Honble Minister of Health, Women and Child Development Smt. Veena George.
132 AYUSH institutions have been awarded the Kayakalp Awards worth Rs 1 crore.
The magnanimous event was attended by CHOs, LSGD members and other dignitaries representing respective institutions from all over the state.

ആയുര്‍വേദം, യോഗപ്രകൃതിചികിത്സ, യുനാനി, സിദ്ധ, ഹോമിയോപ്പതി ചികിത്സാ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളുടെ സമന്വിതരൂപമായ ആയുഷ്. കേരളത്തിലെ ആയൂർവേദവും ഇതര ആയുഷ് ചികിത്സാ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളായ യോഗ, പ്രകൃതിചികിത്സ, യുനാനി, സിദ്ധ, ഹോമിയോപ്പതി തുടങ്ങിയവയും അന്തർദേശീയ തലത്തിൽത്തന്നെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്.ആയുര്‍വേദത്തിന്റെ ഈറ്റില്ലമായ കേരളത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങള്‍, പ്രകൃതിയുമായി തന്മയീഭാവം പുലര്‍ത്തുന്ന ആയുഷ് ചികിത്സാരീതികളോട് ചരിത്രാതീതകാലംമുതല്‍ ആഭിമുഖ്യം പുലര്‍ത്തിപോരുന്നു.
ആയുഷിലൂടെ ആരോഗ്യപൂര്‍ണമായ ജീവിതത്തിനുതകുന്ന ജീവിതചര്യകള്‍, ശീലങ്ങള്‍, ആഹാരരീതികള്‍ ശീലമാക്കാം
ആയുഷ് ചികിത്സക്ക് ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ പ്രസക്തി വര്‍ധിച്ച കാലഘട്ടമാണിത്. ആരോഗ്യസംരക്ഷണത്തിന് രോഗം ബാധിച്ച് ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ടെന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവാണ് ആയുഷിന്റെ ജനപ്രീതിക്ക് നിദാനം.
AYUSH Kerala is all about medical systems that are being practiced viz., Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy based on definite medical philosophies and represent a way of healthy living with established concepts on prevention of diseases and promotion of health. The basic approach of all these systems on health, disease and treatment are holistic. Because of this, there is a resurgence of interest on AYUSH systems.
The AYUSH systems, especially Ayurveda and Homeopathy, Siddha and Yoga play an important role in the Health Care Delivery System in Kerala. There are over 1500 institutions in these systems of medicine.
