My lecture to Pediatric Dentists today on Myofacial therapy

Myotherapy: This is a rather under recognized modality of treatment for children who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea. This modality of treatment t is an add on treatment for those children with obstructive sleep apnea whose response to removal of tonsils and adenoids has still not solved the the problem of sleep apnea.

My lecture at Rajkot Pedicon on 17th September to pediatricians on Lung in Systemic disease. West zone Pedicon is an annual conference of the West zone and was held in Rajkot from 16th to the 18th of September 2022. It was attended by 400 pediatricians where in I presented a lecture on Lung in systemic diseases . I was also a panelist for challenging cases in Pediatric Infectious diseases. Both the sessions were well appreciated by the delegates who attended the conference.

Asthma is likely if there are recurrent episodes of cough with or without breathlessness

👉 Worse at night/early morning
👉 Generally without fever
👉 Worse on activity/ physical exertion
👉 Better with medicines called bronchodilators and
👉 Presence of a family history of Allergy/Asthma

Asthma can be diagnosed based on history and examination
Confirmatory Tests like Lung Function Tests called as Spirometry can be done in children above age 6 years.
Consult your doctor if recurrent episodes of cough
