💻 Prior to Covid, people frowned upon the idea of remote consultations with doctors. It wasn't something that patients preferred to opt for. It simply wasn't the norm!

✨ What changed during and post-Covid was the outlook. As long as they saw the confidence in the doctor's knowledge, his/her advice on diet and lifestyle upgrades, it began to matter less whether it was an in-person or a remote consultation.

🌟 Happy to say, I've been able to efficiently treat the same number of patients remotely as much as I am able to treat in-person. People value the fact that they're able to access healthcare knowledge & facilities from the comforts of their home while medicines get delivered to their doorsteps too.

Indeed, a welcome change in the world of Ayurveda! 🌿 Certainly gets only better from here 😊

The Ayurvedic Medical Association concluded a 1- day seminar "Yosh*ta" on Women's Health on 13th April at The Central Auditorium, Hospicio Hospital.

We were fortunate to have Smt. Sulakshana Sawant as the Chief Guest for the program.

Being a part of organizing committee gave me an opportunity to curate the program with the likes of eminent personalities like Dr Geeta Patki which also gifted all of us the experience of organizing a seminar from scratch.

The lecturers flew in from different parts of India and they delivered brainstorming sessions that made us go back to our Granthas to delve deeper.

Was indeed honoured to be chosen as the for the program alongside my senior Dr Preeti Patil!

It was a full house which also meant the program reached the masses and was appreciated by one and all. It also means the entire team's efforts for the last 2 months paid off!

The delegates would also be awarded 5 CME points for attending this by the NCISM- a milestone in the history of in Goa. ✨

Kudos to Team Yosh*ta! 🎉

The beauty of Sanskrit lies in how one quote can be interpreted differently to have different learnings.

✨ अनभ्यासे विषं शास्त्रम् ll

When someone has only partial understanding of a subject, they may believe they know enough to take action or give advice, but without the full picture, this can lead to mistakes, misunderstandings, or even harm. It’s like using a medicine without knowing its side effects.

Having theoretical knowledge—facts and concepts from books or online content—without practical experience or real-world application can be equally dangerous. Practice allows us to test, refine, and truly understand what works and what doesn’t. In fields like Ayurveda, for instance, knowledge of medicinal herbs is not enough unless one knows how to properly use them in real-life situations. Social media is filled with people giving advice based solely on theory, which can lead to misinterpretation or misuse of the information.

✏️ In the context of social media, people often share health tips, advice, or opinions without a deep understanding, and this can mislead others or create false beliefs.

✅ In summary, the phrase highlights the gap between genuine expertise and superficial understanding, especially in an era where information is easily accessible but not always reliable. True knowledge comes from both learning and lived experience, not just from what is read or shared online.

🫶🏼 I am excited to start this series !!

✨ The whole idea is to bring to you the depth to which Ayurveda has figured the science of emotions and mental and physical well-being.
I personally feel, there's a dire need to open our texts, look for such sutras, understand their meanings and begin extensive research on these subjects.

🏃🏼‍♂️ We often overlook the importance of doing regular physical activity or exercise to keep ourselves active both mentally and physically.
Ayurveda has mentioned time and again, that "Vyayama" has to be a part of our Dinacharya (daily routine) because it has countless benefits.
The type of exercise we do must be based on our age, occupation, dosha status and considering the ailments we suffer from!

❌ Who should not exercise?
The ones suffering from an acute condition, indigestion, fever, injuries, discomfort in the body, high blood pressure should either avoid it or do it with caution so as to not worsen their situation. It is always good to have a holistic approach to this by keeping in mind your healthy and diseased states.

♦️ Let me tell you, this is a fix!
It isn't a treatment to resolve the problems from the root, especially if it has been happening chronically. Simply because in chronic cases, these symptoms are a result of poor gut health that need to be addressed from the root cause through dietary, lifestyle changes and medication. 💊

🍔🍕 Often times, this feeling could come in abruptly because of that late and heavy dinner you had at the party you went to or because you returned late from work! This combo works perfectly in such situations.

☑️ Haritaki, Shunthi and Saindhava are the 3 ingredients that constitute most of the Ayurvedic formulations made for bloating, heaviness, constipation and flatulence along with other ingredients that help repair the gut. They can be safely incorporated as a remedy to relieve the said issues.

👨🏼‍🏫 Would you try this fix? Let me know if it helps, if you do! ❤️

This verse precisely defines Ayurveda.

The science that lays down the regulations for a good and bad life and a happy and sorrowful life is Ayurveda. It has valuable information to improve quality and longevity of the humankind.
The parameters for measuring what's good and bad may not be the same for everyone. However, there are certain rituals or habits that could prove to be harmful universally, in terms of health.
Ayurveda discusses these step-by-step and also lays down the terms and conditions to conclude how we could pick routines and develop habits that suit our individual constitutions.

This personalization is the speciality of Ayurveda.
Different chapters discuss the qualities and characteristics of foods & lifestyle habits and the effects they have on our body, detailed treatments for acute & chronic diseases and a lot more that's beyond the modern realm.

Coupled with the understanding of our bodies and using our own wisdom we could use this knowledge to improve both quality and quantity (lifespan) of our life
