"The youth are not just the future — they are the force of change. 💚
Through open conversations and shared understanding, we build awareness, reduce stigma, and nurture mental well-being — one school at a time."

29/07/2025

Today at Kashmir Lifeline and Health Centre’s Baramulla HUB office in Palhallan, we hosted a vibrant quiz programme with students from various schools across North Kashmir.
This event was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of shared learning, youthful energy, and meaningful conversations around mental health.

Organised in collaboration with Parsa's Palhallan, the programme reflected our continued efforts toward reducing stigma, promoting wellbeing, and encouraging young minds to think, question, and grow together.

A big thank you, to all the participating schools, our partners, and guests who made this event special!

Educators play a crucial role in a child's development and mental well-being. By creating a supportive and open environment, they can encourage children to express themselves freely. Also they can foster a culture of encouragement and recognition, helping students to feel valued and motivated. Emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and incorporating regular exercise into daily routines can further enhance students' mental health and overall development.

Grief can manifest in various forms such as anger, worry, and shock. It's important to recognize these feelings and seek support when needed. Talking to a trusted friend, joining a support group, or consulting a mental health professional can help navigate the complex emotions associated with grief. Taking care of your physical and mental well-being is crucial during this time.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

23/06/2024

Mental health is often misunderstood, with many people mistaking it for mere mood swings or personal weakness. This misconception leads to neglect and stigma, preventing individuals from seeking necessary help. Counseling is crucial as it provides professional support, helping people navigate their emotional challenges and fostering resilience. In the context of grief, counseling becomes even more vital, offering a safe space to process loss and aiding in healthy emotional recovery. Addressing mental health properly can significantly enhance overall well-being.
