Dr. Sonali Santhanam (Shenoy) is an American Board Certified Physical Therapist specializing in back pain and pelvic floor dysfunctions. She has a Doctorate (PhD) and a Masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA. In addition she practices as a childbirth educator and provides breastfeeding support to new mums. If you had pelvic pain after your prenatal yoga class it could be because of missing out on right form and movement modifications that make all the difference in pregnancy.

Here’s how you can modify Ashwasanchalasana for your Prenatal Yoga practice.

✅ Use yoga blocks for better support.
✅ Place your foot on the outside of your hand to create space for your belly and open the hips.
✅ Add a blanket under the knee for extra comfort.
