And here 2022 is about to finish with some life time memories.

I am sharing the glimpse of 10th Convocation of the Academic College of Emergency Experts which was held during the EMINDIA2022 at Goa.

The convocation was a star-studded event with fellows admitted to the college by The Honorable Director of AIIMS Nagpur Maj. Gen Dr. Vibha Dutta mam, SM.

Stage was shared by the distinguished leaders of Emergency Medicine in India as well as World Including Dr. Sagar Galwankar Sir, Prof. Dr. Praveen Aggarwal Sir, Dr. Sanjeev Bhoi Sir, Dr. Siddharth Dubhashi Sir, Dr. Vimal Krishnan and many more.

The prestigious INDUSEM Awards were bestowed during the convocation on academic luminaries which included Dr. Ashok Puranik Sir, Director of AIIMS Guwahati.

I feel privileged to get honoured with the “Jan Suraksha Paritoshik“ from Prof. Dr. Praveen Aggarwal, Vice-President of Academic College of Emergency Experts.

The Government of India via Gazette Notification has mandated the creation of Academic Department of Emergency Medicine at all Medical Colleges across India by 2023.

Emergency Medicine is a novel interdisciplinary specialty which creates specialists who are expected to manage any emergency, any age, any life-threatening condition 24/7.

The Academic Science of Emergency Medicine demands a well-designed Faculty Development Program (FDP) as India embarks on this visionary initiative.

To meet this challenging task The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur, has partnered with The World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Emergency and Trauma (WHO-CCET) to launch the nation-wide Academic Emergency Medicine Faculty Development Program called “ASHWAMEGH”.

INDUSEM Leaders are spearheading this Nation Building Initiative.

ASHWAMEGH is a 12 Month Cyclical Program is open to All faculty (Assistant Professors and above) who are a part / or going to be a part of the Academic Emergency Medicine Initiative across India as we develop MD/DNB PG Programs in EM. Senior Residents who envision an Academic Career in Emergency Medicine are also encouraged to Join ASHWAMEGH.
