Too much protein doesn’t always mean better health. 👀
Many gym-goers believe a high protein diet automatically builds more muscle, but excess protein, especially from red meat can quietly affect your heart health.
Studies show high animal protein intake may increase LDL (bad cholesterol), which can lead to artery blockage and raise the risk of heart disease. Excess protein can also overactivate mTOR, increasing inflammation inside blood vessels over time.
