People who habitually disrespect others typically lack social etiquette. A person who is disrespectful has no self-respect, low self-esteem, a high ego, and is emotionally immature. Such individuals project a false image of themselves. They are, in fact, weak and do not deserve respect, as they do not respect others. The best approach is to ignore them, not make them feel important, and respond rather than react. Do not appear overwhelmed by them. Finally, engage with them assertively, rather than aggressively or passively.
