INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION has declared a STRIKE today. This is to protest the death of Dr Archana Singh, a gynecologist who was harassed, and blackmailed after the unfortunate death of a patient due to a known complication of delivery called PPH ( post delivery excessive bleeding that could not be stopped despite a lot of effort).
The nexus of crooked politician, media and police harassed her and charged her with MURDER ( Section 302), and threatened to jail her. She committed su***de.
We all doctors condemn this event that lead to the death of a gold medallist doctor and stand by her.
We are all on strike today till 6 pm.
Inconvenience caused to patients is regretted.
Medical practice is unpredictable. Not all patients have similar results following same procedure or medicine. There are too many variables. All doctors always wish the best outcomes for their patients. Unexpected outcomes cannot always be anticipated or predicted.
Its time people understand this. And its high time that the crooked people in our society stop harassing doctors like this.
