Today morning, I came across this insightful Picture & I found it so appealing.
Two doctors holding up the Universal Symbol of Health - 'Bridging the Gap between Illness and Wellness' โ
It spoke to me.
Not just as a doctor, but as a human being whoโs been privileged to witness what Healing really means.
Every day, in hospitals, clinics and operating rooms across the world, Doctors are doing this very thing - Building silent bridges. From Uncertainty to Understanding. From Pain to Relief. From Fear to Reassurance.
We donโt always wear capes.
But we do wear the weight of decisions, the pressure of expectations, and the responsibility of lives entrusted to us.
Being a doctor is not just a job. Itโs a deeply human experience.
We are Humans, afterall.
Itโs hearing the trembling voice of a patientโs family member & offering them a shoulder to put their head onto.
Itโs staying back a little longer post-surgery just to make sure the vitals are steady.
Itโs reading the same textbook chapters again and again and AGAIN - not just to pass exams, but to make sure we never miss a detail when it truly matters.
On this Doctorโs Day, it's after a long time I've took some morning time out of my routine, to think of the millions of small moments that define our journey. The tired but satisfied drive home. The 'smile' when a patient walks again. The 'pain' when one doesnโt.
This isnโt an easy profession. But itโs a profoundly meaningful one.
Because at the end of the day, we all want the same thingโfor someone, somewhere to feel better because 'we' were there.
Hereโs to every doctor who showed upโmind, heart and hands ready.
And to every patient who reminds us why we chose this path in the first place.
Happy Doctorโs Day.
Letโs keep building that bridge.
