Junk food is dangerous for your health
Food is an important thing in every one's life to survive on the earth. The nutrients and energy in food affect the shape of your body and help you grow. Infact, not all foods are good for you. Here are some of the foods are often known as junk food, which are harmful for your body.
Junk Food Is Toxic
Most of us don't think of the food we eat as poison, but some of the ingredients commonly found in processed foods can be considered toxic. By "toxic," I mean chemicals or highly processed ingredients that aren't good for you or can cause harm to your health. I'm talking about refined grains, trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, and all the other artificial junk you can't even pronounce on the ingredient lists.
The Hidden Dangers in Junk Food and Health Problems
Nearly every street corner has a fast-food restaurant that caters to our cravings for a hamburger, French fries, and fried chicken. But as their numbers rise, so do the weight of youngsters and adults. And you have to realize that excess weight is just one of the problems. Junk food is also high in calories, specifically from a type of sugar called high-fructose corn syrup or just plain corn syrup. It is a cheaper substitute for refined sugar but is six times sweeter and packs plenty of calories.
They are high in salt. Taking in too much sodium may lead to water retention, high blood pressure, and kidney damage.
Your body does not like to waste energy; therefore, the excessive calories are usually stored as fat, causing weight gain. Eating junk food for long periods of time can lead to obesity, vitamin deficiencies, heart disease and other health problems. These health problems can lead to very expensive medical bills.
What Junk Food Does to Your Body
The harmful synthetic ingredients in junk food affect your body by interfering with the metabolism process and causing chemical imbalances in your body. These problems often lead to weight gain, fatigue, acidosis and other health problems. When you eat too much junk food, your blood becomes acidic and saturated with refined sugar, creating an environment for cancer, harmful microorganisms and parasites to thrive in.
