સાકર :

સાકર શીતળ, સ્નીગ્ધ, ગુરુ, કામશક્તી વધારનાર તથા તૃષા અને રક્તપીત્ત મટાડનાર છે. તેમ જ એ પૌષ્ટીક, સ્નેહન, મુત્રને ઉત્પન્ન કરનાર, ઉત્તેજક, ઉધરસનો નાશ કરનાર, થાક દુર કરનાર, કળતર મટાડનાર, તરત જ બળ આપનાર, સડાનો નાશ કરનાર, વ્રણ-ઘાને રુઝવનાર તથા કંઠ-ગળા માટે હીતકર છે.

સાકર હૃદયને પુષ્ટી આપનાર હોઈ ડાયાબીટીસ ન હોય તો એનો ઉપયોગ થઈ શકે.

એેક ચમચી સાકર અને અડધી ચમચી હળદર એક ગ્લાસ પાણીમાં શરબત બનાવી સવાર-સાંજ પીવાથી ગળાનો સોજો, ગળાનાં ચાંદાં, અવાજ બેસી જવો, ઉધરસ, કાકડા વગેરે મટે છે.
