Sharing Knowledge and Learning from surgeons across the World 🌍

Recently had the opportunity to serve as Faculty at the Meril Master’s Course for Hip & Knee Arthroplasty 2026 at Meril Academy, Vapi. I spoke about Managing Complex Knee Arthritis Cases and shared practical surgical insights from my own operative experience.

What made the event even more special was interacting with an International group of Orthopaedic Surgeons from countries like Russia, Mexico, Thailand, Malaysia, Kenya and many others. Different countries, Different systems — but the Same goal: Helping patients walk pain-free again.

And of course, it wasn’t all serious discussions. Had some fun moments interacting with a robot assistant at the academy and trying out the ESG-friendly e-bikes on campus.

Always grateful for opportunities to teach, learn, and connect with colleagues from around the world.

It was a privilege to share my thoughts as part of the faculty panel, while also gaining valuable insights from esteemed professors and colleagues during the sessions. Engaging in discussions, asking questions, and exchanging ideas made the experience even more meaningful.

The conference was not just about academics — it was also about building connections, sharing perspectives, and celebrating camaraderie at the gala dinner over authentic Vietnamese cuisine 🍜✨

Truly a memorable experience of learning, teaching, and growing together.

On July 12th, I had the privilege of attending the Meril Hip Masters Course, where senior hip surgeons from across India and abroad came together to share their insights, approaches, and philosophies on hip arthroplasty.

But what made this academic experience even more special was sitting beside my father — my guru, Dr. Bharat Mody, who has not only shaped me as an orthopaedic surgeon but continues to guide me with his quiet strength and unwavering wisdom.

In a world of ever-evolving technology, surgical precision, and complex protocols, I’m reminded that our greatest lessons often come from those who have walked the path before us — not just in knowledge, but in character and discipline.

Grateful for this moment that blended learning, legacy, and the essence of the Guru-Shishya Parampara.
