An enlightening awareness event was organized by the College of Physiotherapy, SVDU in collaboration with Dhiraj General Hospital on the theme “Every Minute Counts" highlighting the urgent need to recognize and respond to stroke symptoms within the GOLDEN HOUR. The session provided valuable insights into the causes and risk factors of stroke, helping participants understand how lifestyle choices and underlying health conditions can increase the risk. The awareness talk also focused on the do’s and don’ts during a stroke, guiding the audience on how to offer immediate and safe assistance to a suspected stroke patient.
The key highlight of the event was the explanation of the ACT FAST principle — Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, and Time to seek emergency help — emphasizing that early recognition and quick action can save lives and minimize long-term damage.
The event successfully spread awareness among the community, inspiring everyone to act swiftly and responsibly when every minute truly counts. 🧠

2nd year post-graduate students (Saiyam Shah and Priyanka Srivastava) of College of Physiotherapy, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, presented our institution at the 3rd International Conference on Advancements in Physiotherapy, held at Jaipur on 9th October 2025.

Our wonderful COP students celebrated the Festival of Lights by visiting every ward at Dhiraj Hospital and distributing fresh, healthy fruit. Embracing the "Unique and United" Spirit on World Cerebral Palsy Day!

On October 6th, 2025, our College of Physiotherapy commemorated World Cerebral Palsy Day with a meaningful celebration centered around the theme: "Unique and United."

The day's highlight was a truly heartwarming visit to the Friends Society in Vadodara. Our students had the privilege of spending time and interacting with children with cerebral palsy, gaining invaluable, personal insights into their daily lives and experiences.

We also hosted a special awareness program dedicated to shining a light on the remarkable achievements of individuals with cerebral palsy right there at the Friends Society!

Our students deepened their understanding of cerebral palsy, the challenges faced by those living with it, and the inspiring ways they overcome these obstacles to thrive. They learned how these amazing individuals excel in diverse fields like painting, book writing and publishing, acting, public speaking, and so much more.

Their stories are a powerful testament that CP does not define potential! Let's continue to promote understanding, inclusivity, and support for everyone in the CP community. Let’s break down barriers and create a more inclusive world for everyone.

We are delighted to announce that two of our *Post-Graduate Physiotherapy students* have excelled in *Poster Presentation in the Innovation Category* at the *First National Conference of Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (SoCVPR)* held in Ahmedabad on September 29, 2025.
