DALK for Advanced Keratoconus.
It is gratifying to see a 20 year old patient improving from counting Finger 3 meters to 6/9 post transplant surgery and continues to dream bigger for his onward life journey.
This profession has allowed me to reach many such individuals over the years.. feel humbled to be there. Thanks to all who have taught me and to almighty to be with me all the time.

Myself and Dr Santosh Suman are excited to announce our forthcoming CME event, part of the 'Let's Talk Cornea - CME series,' which will delve into the Basics of Chemical Injuries of the Eye.

Optical PK with Cataract Surgery and IOL implantation (Triple procedure) after severe Acanthamoeba Keratitis resolved with Medical management. It is a long journey for patient as well as treating cornea specialist to achieve such an outcome.
A farmer by profession, it took almost more than a years of wait till the ulcer completely resolved.
And we waited further for a year till the eye was absolutely quiet before subjecting him for an Optical Corneal transplant procedure. An arduous course to reach to this satge of sheer satisfaction and a joy of regaining the vision in once painful eye.

A 33 yrs old young male developed thinning of his peripheral cornea with pain and watering LE, diagnosed to have PUK- Mooren's ulcer. Underwent Peritomy with superficial Keratectomy with Multilayer AMG application LE. These cases need to continue systemic Rx as well as tpical Mx for resolution of inflammtion.

It was a challenge to treat this child who presented to us with severe proptosis, corneal ulcer and nutritional deficiency.
A combined approoach by ateam of doctors ( cornea specialist , paediatrician, microbiologist ) helped saving the child as well as saving his eye.
The child was admitted to an intensive care, was put on nutritional correction measures as well as intensive tratment for his eye infection.
hey were from a small village and had already lost few days before seeking medical help.
It is important to seek medical help immediately rather than waiting in such emergency situations. Had it not been his ophthalmologist and paediatrician taking keen interest in guiding the parents for further treatment, the baby would not have survived.
Any corneal ulcer or white spot on the eye in a child or in an adult should be attended immediately.
An Appeal to common man:
Do not use HOME MADE REMEDIES
Do not use Over The Counter Products in such situations
Always take guidance from An EXPERT
Do not delay the THERAPY.
By doing so you can help achieve desired results earlier.
